How do the games hold up? I remember they were interesting back in the day because of the novelty at the time of clicking in the analog sticks to catch them, but that sounds kind of clunky today. Not that it matters because game preservation is important, just curious.i have 2 and 3, they're still great. i think 2 might be the best one

Neat, I had no idea the games were available on the PS4/PS5 via the Playstation Store. I remember really liking the 3rd game because of the silly movie references. The first game is a must-play. There's nothing else like it and it stands on its own compared to Crash and Spyro imo
I might buy the third game and do a run through. Will have to debate if I want to play the first two games. I'm sure they are still fun but that might be too much Ape Escape lol.
Literally only the first game i the franchise was great, or even good.Blocked and reported
Literally only the first game i the franchise was great, or even good.I doubt you played the other two if this is your opinion. They were more of the same and improved the flaws of the first game.
or just give them the N-Sane Trilogy treatment. lolThat would be nice but considering most people didn't even know 2&3 existed, there's a very slim chance that would happen. Seems like a stretch to just ask for a collection port.
Literally only the first game i the franchise was great, or even good.As I mentioned above, I missed 2, so I can't speak for that one.
I mean Crash and Spyro were both better franchises so I can understand the reasoningEh, it's kinda up for debate. I'd have a hard time calling Crash vs Ape Escape the best of the three. Spyro is still good, though. I just liked the other two more.
Plus, they had the "cool" factor -- a Bandicoot that spun like the Tasmanian Devil, and a fire-breathing dragon, vs ... a monkey? Nintendo already had Donkey and Diddy Kong and those apes were nowhere near that cool
