I always found it dumb that you get so much less than what the jackpot is actually displayed as. In the UK, there is no tax on lotto winnings at all

Im just gonna spitball ideas of what I want to do with money if I did win.

I'd probably set aside a certain amount like 20 million to collect interest or whatever. If I lose everything else its whatever.
Payoff our house that we just got thats 400k or so in Florida and add a pool and whatever else.
Not a big car person but our family does need like a van or something maybe a Honda or Toyota.
Probably do some vacations for a bit until my kids are school aged.
Other than that I only care about going to big sporting events and traveling.

Do a lot of charity stuff.

I like cooking so I always wanted to do a thing where I cook bunch of food for homeless people or something. Maybe start up some shelters and transition homes to help people get on their feet.

If I did win, i would d probably try to move to a northeast state and get away from Florida. Oldest kid is gonna start school in couple years and wouldn't want the money to raise him spoiled.
Also even being rich, id want to put them in good public school for more diversity.
Not a Florida public school though.

And then obviously take bougie vacations during the summer.
