This is a ridiculous generalization of it. This is one of those kids that is terminally online and communicates in memes. actually this bit right here suggests that tyler didn't live anywhere else. the neighbor in question was by the parents house, and the usage of "my" strengthens that the roommate was never a roommate, since you'd just say "our" in this situation if you lived together
