I doubt he could stop the first plane as no one even knew what was happening until it hitUnless he could hear the scared passengers. It depends on the writer, but sometimes he can do stuff like that. But either way, he should have been able to stop the 2nd plane probably, and definitely would have been on scene to save the people in the towers
