Glasses, because they have the added advantage of looking good.
At my age this would be tough.Glasses aren't too tricky to get used to.
Got LASIK 3 years ago.Yeah, it's pure magic. I couldn't see six inches in front of my face for 20 years. Then they burn my eyeballs for a couple seconds and I'm good as new. Life changing.
My only regret is I didn't do it sooner.
Do I have to ask my optometrist about LASIK? I was kinda expecting him to propose it after years.

You'll be a little nauseous for a while while your brain adjusts to it, you'll almost definitely bump the corners on shit for a while, then you just have to get used to the feeling.
Got PRK (LASIK alternative) 9 years ago. Best decision I ever made. I didn't grow up wearing glasses though. I ruined my vision in college by drying my eyes out really bad by sleeping with a fan inches away from my face every single night one really hot summer.
I wear glasses
I'm not shooting lasers at my eyesBut it's cool as fuck. You can smell them burning.
I wasn't aware that a fan could do that, especially just one season. To be fair, I didn't really leave my room much that summer. So that fan also ran during the daytime sitting inches away from my face. It ran literally 24/7. It ran so much the motor actually burned out and it stopped working. Caused myself a really bad case of dry eyes. I would wake up in the morning with a slight burning sensation in my eyes sometimes. I always thought it was facial oils getting in my eyes, but my eye doctor asked if that was happening and told me it was a symptom of dry eyes.
The lasers in the eyes part isn't nearly as scary as you think it is.With PRK, they don't do an incision.
Honestly regarding LASIK, it's the small incision they do in your cornea that sounds leagues more scary than a laser in your eye.
With PRK, they don't do an incision.I know, though it does involve them brushing down the top layer of your cornea.
