Alphabet, the parent company of YouTube, has agreed to pay $22 million to President Donald Trump to settle a 2021 lawsuit that he filed over YouTubes suspension of his account in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
The terms of the settlement were disclosed in a court filing Monday.

The $22 million will settle and resolve with Plaintiff Donald J. Trump any and all disputes and claims arising out of or relating to the Action, which he has directed to be contributed, on his behalf, to the Trust for the National Mall, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity dedicated to restoring, preserving, and elevating the National Mall, to support the construction of the White House State Ballroom, the filing says.

I'm sick and tired of these institutions caving to this piece of s*** wannabe dictator. When is enough, enough?

Everyone please cancel. And then look into Revanced and SmartTube beta!!!!

I do pay to support an account via YouTube. The creator has no other way of paying. Is my money getting skimmed by YouTube/Google?

There was never a compelling reason to subscribe to YouTube premium to start with. You arent going to unsubscribe from a useless service for political reasons when functional reasons didnt prevent you from subscribing in the first place

Glad NewPipe and FreeTube are available. No point giving Google money, especially with ads being placed by content creators thenselves. In their videos. I'm not playing Raid Shadow Legends for the billionth time.

Yeah. Extends to the Youtube Music app as well.

If there's an app that lets me do this, ad-free and phone screen turned off, I might re-consider my sub. But I also use it because it supposedly helps the Youtubers I regularly watch.

Youtube's goal is just to keep people watching videos, if you click on right wing videos you get more right wing shit to keep your attention. If you click on left wing videos it will do the same thing.
