for those who dont know ragyo is the main villain of kill la kill putting this in spoiler incase some one clicks this not knowing what KLK is but no need for spoiler tags after opening post for kill la kill

s he is physically emotionally and SEXUALLY abusive to her children

she experimented on ryuko the moment ryuko was born as in after giving birth to ryuko she experimented on her and when ryuko seemingly died she threw ryuko away with out even giving her a name

she then abuses her oldest daughter constantly molests her constantly

all while gearing up to bring about the end of the world

then when she finds out ryuko is alive she brain washes ryumo rapes her and sends ryuko off to kill her friends

oh she also sorta adopted a girl from a war torn country did what you would expect by now and used said girl as a tool (never stated she adopted the girl but ragyo was the only "parental" figure in her life) oh and said girl was ment to be food for the ultimate power suit in the series (id explain more but that would take a while)

and she has one last daughter created from life fibers (again take to long to explain) this is the child she actually "likes" and in the end she told said child to kill her self as part of the master plan

ragyo has no redeeming qualities what so ever and does just about every single awful thing a parent could do to there child

Technically he's a paternal figure, but let's be real: Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from Dune is up there.

Raised his nephews. Likely sexually abused his favorite Feyd, uses them as pawns, plots to have one disposed of, forces Feyd to kill his harem after Feyd fails an assassination attempt, etc.

Oh, and Gottfried Vanger from the Millennium trilogy. Neo-Nazi who raped and abused his son and daughter, and molded the former into a serial killer to follow in his footsteps

the dad from Ninja Resurrection (90s grimdark anime movie) is up there.

it's been a long while since I've seen it, but iirc, *graphic spoilers* the dad is part of a cult to resurrect/bring back Satan (I forget if it's actually Satan) into the world.

he uses a dark ritual where his daughter is raped, and then the demonic figure grows inside of her, and rips her apart.

I feel its bout time I rewatch KLK. Havent seen it since it aired on Toonami 10 years ago.

Quickly hit my top 10 anime, and one of my favorite dubs too. It was a experience. Oddly enough, DanDaDan is kinda hitting the same with me this year just like KLK did back then.

This one really is an "Impossible Challenge"

If I was entering a Worst Parent competition, and my opponent was Ragyou Kiryuuin, I would breathe a sigh of relief because NOTHING could make me win this one.

Almost *every* bad thing from the other "epically horrible fathers/mothers" in anime and manga history does not even remotely COMPARE to what she has done in the name of...well, spoilers, lmao.

And I feel that's precisely why they made her that way...

I was mistaken, it wasn't a movie but a two episode OVA.

but no, it wasn't Ninja Scroll - my brother and I actually picked it up because we thought it was a continuation of Ninja Scroll, but the one connection was the name of the lead (I guess both characters are based on a historical figure).
