Do you do that?

I don't know about what you're talking.
I don't remember what a preposition is and I'm not concerned enough to look it up. Not knowing what it is would make it difficult to avoid doing it. So I would assume that I do it, at least ocassionally.

Ending sentences with prepositions is where it's at.
I know it might be wrong, but I'm in love with Stacy's dong
You learn the rule on school (at least I did), but in practice it's sometimes better to end with a preposition or prepositional phrase because the alternative is very clunky.

And I would never start a sentence with a conjunction.

I didn't for a long time since we were taught in school that was a dick way to write.

Then one day I was like, people don't talk like this in the 21st century.

Fake rule, just like not splitting infinitives. It has nothing to with the actual structure or conventions of the language itself, it was just something a bunch of pretentious dorks in the 1700s wanted to force on english to make it sound more like latin, where infinitives can't be split and sentences can't end in prepositions.

I just think it's interesting (in a good way), that the movie got thumbs up from Siskel & Ebert.

I don't know though. Would anyone still end a sentence with a preposition if Robert Stacks directly told you off for it?

Why be stupid? Does it make you happy to be stupid?
The only reason not to is that it sometimes reads a bit awkwardly.

But then sometimes, so does avoiding it.

Thats not a preposition though. In this context off is part of the verb.

I know you were posting just to post it. But lack of understanding of the nature of a preposition is part of the problem with this rule.

That being said, a preposition is a perfectly good word to end a sentence with.

Yes. Like many things people insist are "proper" English, it's not actually a rule or even sensible all the time.
