and when you bought it, did you pay the original retail price for it or did you overpay it afterwards because you missed out on what would eventually be a classic?

according to sites like ebay Def Jam Fight For New York and Silent Hill (ps1) sell for well over $200 on average. not bragging or anything like that but im someone that sells and trades in most of my games once im done with them. ive kept a few that i would return to if i feel like getting back into them or if i consider them to be an all time favorite but value aside i'm glad i did not get rid of either of those despite not playing them for years.

only regret i have is trading in Silent Hill 2, thats a game if i remember correctly i did not finish but enjoyed even if it was hard at the time. probably will never ever play it again since it selling for over $400

Probably the early copy of OoT, with the red blood and the muslim chants?

Maybe boxed HGSS w/ Pokewalker?

If not, then another Pokmon game. I've got all mainline entries boxed and complete.

I think its Godzilla for PS4. I pre-ordered it so paid retail. Last I saw it was around $300-$400. I do have Silent Hill 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as Fatal Frames 1, 2 and 3, all of which I think are pretty valuable as well too. All of them were retail or less.

Kratos from God of War Ragnarok
Chibi Robo maybe?
YoungMutual
I think it's Pokmon Box. I bought it for like $300 and I thought that was ridiculous then. The prices are absolutely bonkers now.
Many Bothans died to bring you this post.
Mega Man V.

I bought it for $12, used, many years after release. It's now worth $244 loose.

I disposed of doubt long ago.
This will be a day long remembered.
Rarest: Blockbuster World Video Game Championships II. Less than 10 are known to still exist.

Most expensive: 1990 Nintendo World Championships cart. Dunno what that one's going for these days, but it's north of $20k easily. The original owner tracked me down here a few years ago and offered me $30k for it.
Kill 1 man: You are a murderer. Kill 10 men: You are a monster.
Kill 100 men: You are a hero. Kill 10,000 men, you are a conqueror!

I'll tell you where the real road lies: Between your ears, behind your eyes. That is the path to Paradise, and, likewise, the road to ruin.
3D Dot Game Heroes might be the only one I have worth anything anymore. Had a few rare-ish games earlier this year (like PS2's Futurama), but had to sell them off.

Probably the Game & Watch game Donkey Kong Circus. I paid way over what it originally cost, but still less than it seems to be going for now, and that was just a couple years ago that I bought it. I don't remember exactly, but I want to say I paid around $800 Canadian for it, and the cheapest ones on eBay right now seem to be over $1100 Canadian.
Panic Restaurant cib

Seen it go for over 2k
Pokemon Soulsilver w/ Pokewalker
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Mario Kart Double Dash with the bonus disc

I'd wager one of these three
Born to lose, live to win!

I don't have much game wise since my collection is more modern... but video game related, I have this Skylander...

He consistently runs like $500+ because they only released him through a limited Amazon deal at launch and never again...

His Xmas variant is way less rare than this regular figure because they actually remembered to release the Xmas one in stores...

Steel Battalion, $200 back in like 2006

Rule of Rose with soundtrack cd, runner up would be Kuon. I just love horror games, both were instances of me just at a game store around the time they came out and just deciding to pick up a horror game I didnt have.

I also have Clock Tower and Clock Tower 2 with strategy guide, all the silent hills, all the Resident Evils on gamecube, and Haunting ground.

On the older side I have Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Mega Man x2 and x3
Ducktales 2 and Chip and Dale 2 on nes.

I've been collecting for a while
I guess Demon Souls on the PS3? It's not in great shape though.

I really hope I find out where my copy of that at some point. I know it's not with my stuff because I went through everything when I was packing up to move earlier this year. I vaguely recall lending it to one of my brothers at some point, but neither of them can find it amongst their stuff.
Earthbound or Conker's

I had a cartridge-only (no box) copy of Earthbound, but I sold it a long time ago on ebay. Right now, I'd have to do some price checking to see. I have a lot of PS1 and PS2 RPGs, probably those.

Nothing crazy since I always used to give away all my games and systems when I moved in to a new generation. Did that all the way to the ps3 generation when I no longer had kids in the family or kids of coworkers to give them to.

So my rarest game is maybe Afrika? On ps3.

I decided to look up how much it's currently going for online and saw that the lowest price range is at around $60 for pre-owned copies, which isn't terrible if you're ever looking to replace it.

Probably Gotcha Force. I paid hundreds of dollars for it multiple times years ago because of how much I played it. I can't imagine the price has dropped since then.
