From Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1, here's Batman hitting a corrupt cop with the One-Winged Angel, Kenny Omega's finishing move.

The artist (Daniel Warren Johnson) loves pro wrestling and has included other wrestling moves in past comics he's worked on. A few other examples include Beta Ray Bill using the Rainmaker (Kazuchika Okada's finishing move), Optimus Prime using a German suplex, and Superman hitting Darkseid with a sheer drop brainbuster.

Absolute Batman doesn't have the martial arts training main Batman has. Likely has wrestling training thanks to being friends with Killer Croc on this universe.

That explains a lot. Dude is wrestling mad. Ive got one of his comics "Do a Powerbomb" which is a wrasslin comic. Its great.

Dude is often backstage at WWE (or at least used to, i dont do social media anymore, but when I did, he was often there) painting portraits of the wrestlers and such.

Yep, there's a DC/AEW collaboration going on. It's pretty cool. I think this artist would have included Batman doing a wrestling move even without this collab though. As mentioned, he's a big wrestling fan in general.

Kenny Omega is a huge Final Fantasy nerd and named his finisher after Sephiroth. A couple of years ago he even did a Sephiroth cosplay for an entrance at New Japan Pro Wrestling's biggest show of the year, Wrestle Kingdom.

I didn't realize who was doing the art for Absolute Batman. I love his art for the first six issues of Skybound Transformers. Yeah he loves wrestling and kicks.

The Absolute comics feel like what New52 should have been. Rather than restarting the comics but a branch of it, like the Ultimate comics for Marvel.
