Saw it at my local Cineplex last weekend.

Gorgeous movie that perfectly hits the gothic setting, though feels a bit long at 2.5 hours. Elordi is wonderful.

It did release before Halloween but only at hipster theaters.

Netflix is probably only releasing it in theaters so it can be nominated for awards. My guess is that their math says (don't know if its right or wrong) they will make more money by keeping it as exclusive to online streaming as possible.
