A Hat in Time > DDLC > Hollow Knight > Edith Finch > Cuphead > NitW

for stuff in the poll that I've played. Could slot in End Is Night above Cuphead if you want, though I'm not a huge fan of that one either (the first four are all good games. 20XX is my favorite 2017 indie game that isn't in the poll).

The End is Nigh > Night in the Woods > Cuphead

All three are close together -- flawed, but still clearly good games.

Night in the Woods > Pyre > Edith Finch > Cuphead > Doki Doki for what I've played on that list. But I do still need to finish Cuphead and Doki Doki

Divinity: Original Sin II not being listed is a horrific crime.

A lot of people don't realize that Divinity is an indie game though for some reason. So TC is excused.

Also missing is The Sexy Brutale, SteamWorld Dig 2 and Thimbleweed Park. But that's okay in those cases considering how good a year for Indie games it was.

To be fair, D:OS2 has received enough attention to make it look like a game from a major publisher. I had never heard of Cuphead or A Hat in Time until they were out. I'm still not familiar with quite a few on the TC list.
