Tales of Berseria
Yakuza 0
Resident Evil 7
Gravity Rush 2
DQ8 3DS

This year has:
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Monster Hunter World
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition
Celeste
Iconoclasts
Kentucky Route Zero: Un Pueblo De Nada

last year had the bigger games on aggregate, but I think this year is no slouch. definitely a good way to follow up an all-time year.

Civ 6 expansion baby! I think it's difficult to pass judgement on a month before it passes because there's probably 10 worthwhile indie games launching next month that we won't know about until they're out. Iconoclasts and Celeste only got dates in the last month.

Tricky to judge since most of the 2018 games just came out

The 18 games all seem really interesting though, and I am neither the biggest DBZ fan nor have I played any MH game. The indie games all look nice too.

Getting Dragon Ball FighterZ, Monster Hunter: World and Dissidia NT.

I doubt those games would be better than Resident Evil 7 and Tales of Berseria though. If they are I will be very impressed and 2018 might not be a bad year for games either.

I own or want all of the games you listed for 2017, and don't care about any of the 2018 games. Except maybe Celeste, which I hadn't heard of until I saw that other topic here saying it's good. Still, easy choice.

If I actually get around to playing all the games from both Januaries that I'm interested in, I imagine I'd probably find them about equal.
