Goku is introduced into the DCU, punches Superman into a coma to hype up how tough he is, replaces Clark as Superman for a year because he feels bad, then eventually fans complain and the shock sales die down so Supes wakes up and beats Goku into the dirt. Every appearance by Goku afterwards he's a jobber who everyone insists is still a big deal because he beat Superman once and never again.
