You make it sound like I just wanted AEW shut down. I wanted WWE shut down. I wanted NBA shut down. I wanted MLB shut down. I want the NFL shut down. I'm glad college football is opting to shutdown until the spring.

None of this stuff is important or essential. Everyone could take the hit here and keep people paid and employed and everyone would be fine, and we could have actually bothered to get this virus under control in Florida if we truly reduced everything to just essential stuff. But we didn't, we fucked everything up, people had to suffer and now we just shrug our shoulders and go "oh well, lets just act like everything is fine."

What.

AEW is a new company that is trying desperately to maintain viewership. If they took the hit here by showing replays or something, they would absolutely not be fine now.

WWE is the only one that would have been fine because they are making record profits.

I'm sorry that Florida is a pit that is incapable of making proper decisions, but it isn't being dealt with properly and as a result, nothing is getting better.

But AEW still has a company to run in its first year. And it's not going to get better anytime soon. So they need to make due.

Ideally, the entire country would do what it needs to get this shit under control, but it's not happening and AEW is fortunate enough they can adapt safely.

Don't be upset at a company doing their best as safe as they can because of the failure of the state and the country to get it under control.

Concerning THAT spoiler...

A lot of people sound really down on it, but I always felt that Rowen was so much more creative than WWE ever let him be. Any time he got to be a creepy weirdo on that Smackdown after show, or his own videos he put online to promote his character, or even this thing with the cage. He has always struck me as a dude who had ideas that were too shackled to WWE to be actualized. I think that's why they brought him on--he's a creative dude who can do legitimately creepy ideas if they let him. I'm actually looking forward to seeing him.

I actually agree that Rowan actually did some fantastic character work at various points in his career. He was just kinda bad at the wrestling portion of being a pro wrestler.

Also it sounds like WWE is finally moving out of the performance center and will be doing all shows at Amway Arena in Orlando.

I'm assuming that this is a preclude for them bringing in fans, too.

Also I was super confused why it's everyone is calling it Amway Arena when I reflect on all the Pistons/Magic games I've been to since coming to Florida. I always heard it called the Amway Center.

Edit: Also, they're looking into virtual fans. If they go the NBA route it might work. If they go the MLB route it's gonna look so fucking stupid.

To see the best of Erick Rowan you need to have watched Superstars. They actually had him as a chess enthusiast on that show it was very strange.

No idea why you'd hire him though to be honest. That's one of those TNAesque hires I think.

Bea Priestley confirmed she was let go because she can't wrestle in the states. She seems in good spirits about it. I mean, they paid her for a long time to do nothing during a pandemic, and she can still wrestle in the UK.

Xavier, who was the second-ever ROH World Champion, has sadly passed away according to a new report. PWInsider reports that Xavier, real name John Kirus, has died. Details around his passing are not yet known, though the site notes that but members of his family have confirmed the news with friends. He was 43 years old.

WWE fans should never, ever cheer for anyone they want to ever again. Rusev talking about the entire Rusev Day is absolute madness. Vince McMahon told Rusev people chanting Rusev Day were just fucking with him. And then when Rusev told him they sold out of Rusev Day shirts, Vince said they must have not made enough.

These people leaving WWE and telling their stories are just fascinating in how broken WWE makes them feel and how they are just helpless in this terrible system.
