Detective Pikachu and Silent Hill are both decent choices for this. I give a slight edge to Detective Pikachu. Sonic's top 5 though for sure.

Detective Pikachu is better for live action. A few are, probably, including MK1.

Silent Hill got the imagery and atmosphere down pretty well. Just had a dumb script on top of it.
I haven't seen it yet but I can't imagine it's better than Detective Pikachu.
