play Smash Bros relentlessly for 8+ months, getting as good as I can get

I got bodied by the guy hosting my big 5 suite telling me an hour out that his friends had bailed and we no longer had the suite so I had to scramble to try and get a room for my girlfriend and I last-minute. Thankfully a lot of people must have canceled last minute and I got us one but with all that going on I missed registration and the tournament.
