I know I'm a day late, but it's still Christmas weekend for me

Les Mis definitely counts because the innkeepers get Santa Claus drunk and laid, and it came out Christmas Day 2012 >_>
azuarc wasn't even home. he was playing Magic the Gathering at his buddy's store, which is extremely easy to verify
Didn't have to look far for Home Alone
KCF can't actually be a real person but he is - greengravy
I love Die Hard, but Home Alone is just too much of a classic.

You're wrong. Its Christmas backdrop feels pretty important. And action movie fans wanted a Christmas movie, so Die Hard it was. Let people consider it a Christmas movie since it doesn't concern you.

Die Hard 2 is also set on Christmas but that's completely unimportant to the story. Plus it sucks, so it's not considered a Christmas movie.

Fun fact, the guy who wrote Elf went to my High School.
But he is not the most famous person to come from it.
I'd Rather Be A Savage Little Elephant, than be a big Bald Bull

Just saw Violent Night and it was great. I could see it potentially cracking my top ten, too early to say. At least 11-15 range. Krampus also just missed the cut.

I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways.

What do you think of the original Black Christmas?

It's OK but I'm just generally not into teen slashers

Saw that for the first time this year. Creepy, but an unrefined concept. Not showing Billy at all is terrifying, sure, but you know he's a guy who's really messed up in the head, so you can picture him. There was really only one truly good lol and that saw Barb. Not showing the last three kills (Phyllis, Jess killing Pete, then Billy killing Jess) was a huge mistake. Also, I'm still mystified at how the cops could be so inept.

In other words: This saw a building block for the genre that led to later movies refining its concepts.
