Say you go from site to site, doing whatever it is you do.

Let's say you have a company phone and your company's new owner says you need to have a tracking app installed and running on it.

That's the truck, not the company phone. Do you take the truck home with you at night?

Having it on your phone is a different beast. Imagine your boss berating you for not picking up his call from 8:26 pm the night before because you had left the phone at your place. He literally wanted you to have it with you when you went out to a party because your job comes first. It's just an excuse for you to always be watched, not just when you're on the clock.

I wouldn't mind being a delivery driver and having my truck tracked since that relates to accountability, but a phone is a different story.
