I still think they should've saved some of these later Switch games for the new system. Felt like they went all in late in the systems life which is not something Nintendo usually do. They didn't even need to do it either given how well it's done.
I feel like they're saving most of their biggest guns. The next 3D Mario game has probably been in development for 5+ years. Mario Kart practically skipped this generation. Smash released early and was carried by a stream of quality DLC. Animal Crossing is already four years old. Those franchises all had early or mid-gen releases. The late-gen releases like Mario Wonder, Pikmin 4, and Xenoblade 3 are pretty high profile, but I wouldn't call them killer apps that should have been held back.
The big exception is Tears of the Kingdom, but it's about as pure a sequel as Majora's Mask and really should have launched on the same console as its predecessor. In all honesty, I think Nintendo's decisions (and timing) with the Switch library have been pretty spot-on.
