I tried to put all the major options in this poll. Post if you think it'll be something else.

I had a couple other ideas for polls, like screen size and storage capacity, but I'm not sure how interesting those would be. Anyone have any other polls they want to see?

What will be the major launch game - 1. 3D Mario 2. Mario Kart 9 3. Metroid Prime 4
What will it be called - 1. Switch 2 2. Switch 2 3. Something without Switch in the name
When will it come out - 1. Q4 2024 2. After Q2 2025 3. Q3 2024
How powerful will it be - 1. PS4 level 2. Between PS4 and Pro 3. Between PS4 Pro and Xbox One X
Will it be backwards compatible - 1:1 BC dominated results, with enhanced BC a distant second

For the past 15 years we've gotten a new Gen roughly every three years (give or take a few months). That puts Gen 10's release around Q4 '25, which is about a year after when we think the system will come out, and I think that's a reasonable amount of time to expect to wait.

A Switch 1 game in 2024 (playable on Switch 2 with BC, but no Switch 2 sku), some new type of experimental game in 2025, and Gen X in 2026 for Pokemon's 30th anniversary.

Yes this is completely wishful thinking that would mean a 4-year gap between new generations, and it's very dumb of me to think will happen.
Change is weird.

praying that a legends johto game ensures there will never be a let's go johto

i think gen 5 remakes could happen too but i bet they're a ways off since they probably want to change the whole thing to adapt both parts somehow

If we get something in 2024, I think there's a very decent chance it's on Switch even if Switch 2 has just released. Pokemon games have always been rather late into consoles life cycles. I'm guessing something more unique this year like Let's Go and Arceus Legends then Gen 10 by the end of 25 on new console. Those are also the ones that will be followed up by Gen 5 remakes.

Don't think it'll be Let's Go Johto exactly, that was probably a one time thing specifically meant to capture the Pokemon Go crowd, but it could be something Johto related.
