Chespin did better than I thought tbh. But also that division was overall really weak imo. Second one that day was very strong though.

A ghost type Pokemon based on dead coral is pretty inspired tbh, bonus points for being an evolution of a Pokemon that is at best considered middle of the road overall.

Ground/water is one of my favorite combo types and Seismitoad makes up for the really awful stage 1/stage 2 looks in that line. Shame he went out over a couple of those other ones.

It's hard to nail down a dud but I'd probably just say "the future mons in general," or maybe Duraludon

As someone who likes Duraludon, I didn't think he'd do great, but losing to Scraggy is definitely a dud-like performance imo.

Performance vs. (my) expectation. I had Lapras at like +30 and Phantump at like +20 so

I also don't know the last couple gens well at all, so I avoid them for Star/Dud unless it's a situation like Cursola where none of the mons I know well DID stand out

Meanwhile, I'm surprised Rhyperior actually lived. Poor Scraggy.

But yes, great result for Phantump. Disappointing that Zekrom didn't score higher, but at least it's alive. Ogerpon surviving is also a nice surprise.
