I bought mine in, like, 2021 and it was around $180 IIRC.

The screen is cracked and so the touch control is janky sometimes, I'm looking to get a new one soon-ish but I'm not really in a hurry.

Usually I'm looking for something around the $150-$220 range.

was around 650, hadn't upgraded in 3 years. not sure when the next will be but every 3-4 generations feels about right.

I think it was in the $650-750 range. I forget the exact number as I did a trade in and it was ~$400 after that. I know the one before that was $570 off of eBay but was usually $800 retail.

I've just been sticking with OnePlus the last 3 phones as they seem to give decent bang for the buck and have the features / specs I'm looking for.

I bought a used Iphone 12 on Ebay for 180 around a month ago. Before then I'd had an Iphone 6 since 2019, which I'd bought used and it was old then. My old phone was on its way out, not holding charge for long and losing compatibility with apps or struggling to run them, so I thought it was time to upgrade.

This month I bought a One Plus Nord N30 for $260, including case.

My prior phone was a Moto G Power '20 that was for a similar price in May 2021. It was starting to have serious app crashing/loading issues that were getting obnoxious.
Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered!

Yeah I converted mine to USD as well.

TBH other than me needing to buy a new phone soon what inspired this topic was the price for the new iPhone. That's like, waaay more spending than I've ever done in my life for one purchase. Unless you're a power user who makes your income from being a mobile-based content creator or some such, I really find it hard to justify that price.

Though of course it should be noted since I'm in Indonesia that's a factor as well, it costs like 4 months of the minimum wage here.
