The real question is if they'll keep the plot point that Shadow isn't a clone or copy of Sonic, but the form of the ultimate lifeform is just coincidentally a humanoid hedgehog.

I think they do this on purpose, you know. Start rumour buzz on social media, then exceed expectations. They hinted Momoa for Knuckles, who was good, and then got Elba, who was way better. Hinted at Christensen for Shadow which would have been fine, got Keanu, even better.

I am also somewhat conflicted on this, like it's definitely cool and I think Keanu is the type to take it seriously enough without being too serious which is a big part of what makes Shadow so that's cool too. Not exactly my first choice either but it's hard to say why, so I'm in a similar boat to Zen.
