Someone should make a Smash style game like this that is all completely made up characters/lore.Then pull a Ruby Heart and have one "original" character added to the roster.
Edit: I don't mean a game just in the style of Smash with OG characters, I mean a game that presents itself as taking all of its characters from established franchises, but none of them are actually real.

It's from Adventure Time, generic nameless character ala Piranha Plant.at least Piranha Plant was recognizable and there were tons of Mario reps already
