Legendary
Pot of Greed
- I cast Pot of Greed and draw two additional cards. Pot of Greed is one of the few Yugioh cards that has managed to make its way into popular culture and there are good memes for it too. Plus in any game where the objective isn't to get rid of all your cards, drawing two cards for free is an auto-include in any deck!
Broken
Dominion (Neon White)
- This was the most fun card/weapon in the game. Kind of let you do almost everything the other weapons could do, but also
rocket jump
. Extremely fun, especially with how the levels were designed to have you continuously chain them together. It doesn't exactly render the other weapons obsolete, but in terms of fun, it also kind of does. Definite top tier.
The Moops (Trivial Pursuit) -
I'm sorry, the card says "Moops"! Ensured a moral victory in Trivial Pursuit against that snide Bubble Boy. You really couldn't ask for more from a Trivial Pursuit card.
Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon
- Top tier just for the name itself, which sounds kind of like a 7 year old child came up with it. By the ridiculous standards of today's Yugioh game, this card is probably unplayably bad. In probably any other card game, this card sounds pretty broken, to bring out a decently strong monster (or possibly sacrifice material) for free when one of your other cards gets destroyed. I'd play it.
Great
Squall Leonhart
- I regretfully have not played FFVIII nor finished the ARR quest in FFXIV, so my Triple Triad experience is pretty limited. From what I do know, A and 9 are two extremely high sides, so this could be an excellent card to play anywhere on the right side of the board, to hide the 4. If you can pair this with cards that shore up the left side of the board, it should be very strong for taking control of the right side (and the bottom right corner in particular)
Good
Storm of Steel
- Been playing Slay the Spire again recently. This is a great finisher in a Shiv-oriented build, especially one that has ways to generate a large hand size. However - it's generally only good if you have the rest of the build set up - most of the time I wouldn't want to take it without other cards or relics that buff my shivs, because a hand of 5 cards that read 0 mana deal 4 damage is usually not a better finisher than other cards on its own. Good but ultimately situational.
Uno Reverse
- As a casual Uno player, I feel like this is actually a pretty bad Uno card. It actually gives the player who just played a card a much bigger advantage than it gives you. Virtually the only use case where you actually want to use this is when the next player is on uno or dos cards and you want to stop them from winning the game. However, the memes and general pop culture usage are top tier, raising its rating a lot. Off the top of my head the one I'm thinking of is giving the waiter an uno reverse card to pay the bill, but I feel like there's been quite a few great ones.
Claire Redfield -
I know absolutely nothing of this game, and a quick google is really only raising more questions than answers. Most of the other character cards all seem much more complex than Claire, so I'm assuming she may be intended as sort of a 'starter character' or 'easy mode' to introduce the player to the game. Usually, these types of characters are good but not great so as to give the player a good chance of winning but not overcomplicate matters. It appears she gives free resources in terms of ammunition and gold. Unless those resources are totally meaningless, or the number of resources she gives is just way too low, she's probably pretty solid.
Decent
Jubilee -
Now I did play Marvel Snap for quite a while. Jubilee was kind of a high risk, high reward card. The upside of drawing Infinaut or Doctor Doom was great, and you could generally construct your deck in such a way that it would generally pull good things from your deck. However, when so many cards and locations exist that put 0 power rocks in your deck, or shut down on play effects like cosmo, it pretty much feels like an automatic loss every time you play 1 power for 4 cost. Overall decent, but not enough consistent payoff to build a top tier deck around her.
Thromok the Insatiable
- This card seems a little expensive for what it does to me. In the best case scenario, you're able to generate a bunch of tiny 1/1s and eat them all up to make one big creature, and then you need to wait another turn to use it unless you have some kind of combo card to let it attack immediately or use its power in some other way. Or I guess you can activate your own on-death effects by killing your own creatures. Either way, I feel like 5 mana is too much - there are surely more efficient ways to achieve those game plans that don't die to single target removal?
Ace of Spades (Crazy 8s)
- I'll be honest, I kind of forgot the rules to Crazy 8s, though I think 8s are the only card that does anything special? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is just a very average card, just like any other card game.
Bad
Imakuni?
- I mean, objectively this is a bad card. The only redeeming quality it could have would be a combo with some Pokemon which says 'If this pokemon is confused, do X". Of course, that would have to be a game-breaking effect for this card to ever be worth playing. With that being said, it seems to be an obvious joke card, but as someone who is fairly knowledgeable about Pokemon I've never seen it. So it doesn't really get points from me for being memeable either.
