I'll dock it a bit due to probably nostalgia. I don't think it'd quite hit the same as when I was a wee lad playing against my friend with the connect cable on the GBA. I have the first set of the collection but never actually replayed it, so I am going to

there is an in game means of getting the Blue/White only chips. Since Area Grab * was exclusive to White iirc. Anyway. Probably the best in the series.
p sure the game just gives them to you as cheats you can activate at any time
