Haven't read any more Fourth World, I've been trying to find some strips to bulk my collection up. Li'l Abner and Pogo, I was kinda hesitant to check out due to their character dialects; however I saw some panels from Abner and it got me chuckling, I think I'll try and grab a volume of that.
Capp interspersed boldface type and included prompt words in parentheses (chuckle!, sob!, gasp!, shudder!, smack!, drool!, cackle!, snort!, gulp!, blush!, ugh!, etc.) to bolster the effect of the speech balloons.
This specifically seems like it'd be hilarious in a dialogue balloon, I have no idea why but it makes me laugh just thinking about it.
