I throw six of them off of the plane. The other person has cancer and is going to die soon. Who gets the two parachutes?

I assume the same person villianous enough to throw six parachutes off of a plane wouldn't just keep one for themselves. That would leave just one, and the terminal patient would get it by default.

Heh, looks like I'd end up in my favorite part of the Charlie's Angels credits after all (the part where Elizabeth Banks tells ole girl that she has to land the plane herself -- then hops off with the last parachute).

Silently still think the Bermuda triangle is a thing. It makes up for me not believing in aliens.

My late husband would literally fill the dispenser to the top, which is about a full cup of detergent.

I tend to do that too, and pour less based on how small the load is.

Too much detergent not only wastes money, it can actually make your clothes dingier because you might not be able to rinse off all the residue.

This makes sense, but mentally I think people see all the visible stains and immediately think to overuse. And we haven't even gotten into pre-treating over just tossing a day-old dirty load in the wash.

Funerals are a scam.

At least parts of it are. I can understand the casket and a plot of ground, but everything else and the flowers can be written off.

There are trailers to carry a casket, there are venues that rent by the hour and ample planning can keep so many people from needing to ferry the dead half-way across the city. I already never understood why folks needed a limo for a such a somber occasion. Give me a short bus. We're just driving down the block anyway (^-^).
'Something else'

A handcrafted band-aid just to close the wound until I can get somewhere safe. I'd love to be near alcohol or an antiseptic when I get cut, but some situations just don't make that possible.

The day I only use debit cards is the day I just buy everything online, and I'm not there yet.

'yes'

but also make more problems, such is life.

It doesn't even need to be a powerball prize; just winning one of these many game shows would be sufficient (not Jeopardy though, those folks eat their grits).

I'm fine with a postcard or photo of the exhibits.

All of my games are physical copies because I do not like digital games.

I like digital games but hate asking for refunds or having to nuke an account for having one bad game and all of its dlc junking up my library.

Our principles on physical games do mean [we] miss out on some good stuff though.

If there are a lot of steps involved, probably not.

So much to unpack about this story, but the thing that stands out for me is that the woman thought god was going to throw everyone a signal of the rapture with an eclipse of all things.

If she read past the word 'rapture' she should know that the whole idea of it is that NO ONE will know when it is coming. That is the point.

The biggest issue is that none of the characters truly stood out. Oh sure there's a talking bear, but I can't even remember his name much less what he even did.

So much this. It is exactly why I brought up Klaus from American dad. If you have a talking animal, you really have to up your game to make it stand out.

As for what the bear did, he was Cleveland's co-worker and I believe it was for a cable company.

They don't always get the openings they want. So they'll often switch between jumping around and riding someone's bumper. Those driver's make me far more nervous because I don't know if they'll react in time to avoid rear ending me if they're behind me, or avoid side swiping me if they're to my side.

Switch the word 'nervous' for 'angry' and you have my reason for picking fast in the poll as well.

Slow drivers will never rear end my car, and I can pass them in the left. Fast drivers are all over the place and may not even stop if they do hit my vehicle because they are already driving like they have to @%#.

I didn't even know they were making another Garfield movie

But just like the Fantastic Four and Charlie's Angels, there will likely always be a new one in the pipeline.

I'm silently waiting for Hollywood to greenlight so many Fantastic Four movies, they have to start going around fighting other people's villians.
'Ok'

I could pick out a few of the secondary characters that were memorable (the large woman in the motor scooter was one).

Unlike Family Guy with Meg or American Dad with Klaus, there wasn't a standout character (other than Cleveland) that makes you want to tune in when they get a episode all to themselves. Rylo maybe had one or two good episodes where he was the center. Cleveland Jr mostly made me feel bad for him whenever he was the focus.

At its core, the Cleveland show was adequate at being a sitcom about family (matters). It needed more goldfish rapping or young ladies trying to find a Santa claus just to sit in his lap.

and I wouldn't be surprised if journalists and media outlets lowkey want another Trump presidency just so they can profit off four years of rage bait and clickbait articles.

I don't see how they would 'profit' when Trump himself has already stated he was going after the media that spoke about him negatively.

Nice.

I hope Chucky also takes a dig at BUDDI, unless he already did and I missed it.

It will probably be the last SKU Microsoft actually puts a disc drive in.

Enjoy it now while disc drives are still a thing. One day we'll all be looking at consoles like rotary phones and televisions with dials.

I like how the trailer was reminiscent of 'The Firefly funhouse' with the graphical styling.

Slow people are only bad in the passing lane(s). Heck, I silently hope the speeders can pay my tickets too when they eventually get theirs.
'Perfect Dark'

Loved the different 'sims' in multiplayer. Will always love the different 'sims' in multiplayer. Also loved the main menu theme.

Conversely, Perfect Dark zero is on a console I could go back to, but have way too many other retro games in line ahead of it.

'Joe Biden'

and most of what I would ask him would be about favorite movies or how the Obamas are doing and stuff like that. Like whose your favorite Mortal Kombat character? And I wouldn't be mad if he said "What is that?"

This, but don't exactly put it all on the packaging either. I already feel like plant-based products get a bad rap because folks see it in the freezer section and get 'scared' off.

Thanks to a certain burger chain that knows what they did, I'm surprisingly good with plants being ironically smothered with lettuce and tomato.

Are you not aware that the cartoon has ALWAYS been seprate from the comics?

Well obivously no. Who was watching a Saturday morning cartoon back then and thought past all of that once the credits rolled? Most of us (then) just saw it as a cartoon.

Venom became one of my favorites solely due to the 90's Spiderman cartoon. I know there are other versions of him and I know about the Sony films, but after that cartoon went off the air, I was one of those that said "Oh well.."

Never thought I'd see a world where democrats are straight up downplaying a genocide

Not downplaying it, just constantly reminding that the U.S. has minority groups that could be oppressed (or being oppressed currently) as well.

We got states over here banning and burning books. George Takei from Star Trek wrote a graphic novel that was educational and that got banned enough for me to even know it existed, and you're going to tell me that I should not vote for Biden over something that is happening in a country half way across the globe (and ignore that religion is scarily stepping over the line in the country I currently reside in).

Well. She is neither, but where the hell did this come from lol?

How long do you think Gamefaqs as a message board has been here having discussions about what happens in the comic books? It was here that someone had to tell me that Cyclops wasn't entirely blind when up to that point I thought he was.

I don't mind learning stuff, but I also admit I don't keep up with comics or try to keep up with my favorite characters past the media they are featured in. I already prefer video games because you can play them alone without asking people who aren't as 'geeky' to sit down and get into the lore.
'Money'

I don't want combat knowledge except if it would help develop a good board or video game.

Even while not owning any games in the franchise anymore, Dead or Alive impressed me the most on how the different fighting styles were incorporated. My favorite two characters to see matched up were Kokoro and Lei Fang. When I see the words 'Baji Quan' I immediately think of:

Just like Tom Jones or Neil Diamond, eventually one of their songs will make into popular media and I will like the artist indirectly.

In Tom Jones' case it is Duck Dodgers. In Neil's, I think it was the movie Saving Silverman.
I had to read the title twice to make sure it wasn't interracial marriage at first. But they'll likely come after that too.

With how high some car insurance premiums are getting, I can't blame the topic creator that much for not wanting to drive.

One thing I personally hated was when the car insurance company I was with did so poorly that they got bought out by one of the ones you see on television with all the celebrity ads.

I wouldn't have brought car insurance up except in some states, you may as well call it a tax for being in the driver's seat.

I tuned in to the final episode of Buffy as a rerun even though I never watched the show fully. It was..something.

To me, the franchise is a "You had to be there" thing. If you jump in late like I attempted to, you either have to know who Josh Whedon is (and like his work) or not see it as a huge dating sim featuring Buffy.

Five. I never saw what was wrong with 6.

The only negative I have for RE6 is that has two 'campaigns' too many.

Otherwise, it is one of the few Resident Evil games of that era to have multiple mini modes that were playable solo (other than just Mercenaries).
Silently rooting for this to happen even though I'm not in the state to put a signature to it myself.

uh, no you don't, because this show is its own canon

That would have not been made had there not been a company trying to get people to subscribe to a streaming service.

you seem to be fundamentally mistaken about what this series is.

Not mistaken. I know what this 'sequel' is, but also realize this has taken way too long since the first cartoon ended and several comics (and games) have done their own interpretations of the characters since then. I didn't even bring up the many things I've seen Cyclops doing since the first cartoon ended.

'I have not watched it'

-- Streaming only
-- I already know what happened to most of that cast after the first cartoon ended (especially Jubilee)
-- It is easier for me to conclude that this cartoon is for the people who vaguely watched the original

As a matter of fact, from the rumblings I heard since the first cartoon ended, my favorite X-men Rogue is either dead or became so powerful she is some other worldly being. That is why I'm fine with not revisiting this, among other reasons.

I prefer media to not have multiple universes or timelines at all.

Mortal Kombat has shown how to do timelines wrong.

Family Guy has shown how to do multiverses right.

Maybe Starfield too since I did spoil myself on what that game has planned. Surprisingly, my favorite multiverse is the one where the single Constellation member you could never bring along, is the only one.
