No, he's still hard as shit.

I didn't really think so. I played the game on the hardest difficulty available before you unlock the even harder one and thought it was kinda easy.

I did spend like 3 hours trying to kill him without doing the optional bosses first though before I finally gave up so that might influence things but I found after killing all the bosses he became pretty easy.
