When Gen 3 came out, there were these small round plastic pictures that featured Pokémon in them that came with potato chips.

You have Luvdisc, this crappy Pokémon made intentionally terrible. One of the early released Gen V designs is that of a bigger heart-shaped fish. All fans come to the conclusion Luvdisc is getting an evolution and redeeming itself. But nope. They are unrelated. The end.
