Looks like levels were split up into chapters now. I almost thought there was a glitch at first. Beat the new challenge level really easily. Do you get anything for beating it? I also beat the new level and got the NPC trade. You get a Farfetch'd.

Which Pokemon do you trade to him?

So what's up with the new challenge level? Is it supposed to link to Viridian Forest half the time, like to prevent you from using level 36 Pokemon (after all, it does say "Lvl: 36" on it)? It only seemed to work when I used lower level Pokemon, but then if I exited right away and went right back in, it worked with my team of 36's. But no reward for beating it, it seems...

It's a glitch. Don't view your pokemon's moves/status on the selection screen and you should be fine.

iirc mew has to be shiny or it doesn't work because all of the ones given away to donators were shiny

Supposedly the next update will have a move relearner, which means a ton of new moves (Thunderbolt on Riachu, elemental fangs on Arbok, Metronome Clefable, etc)

Plus what looks to be Magikarp/Gyarados.

I'm having trouble just catching Abra. It seems to die in 1 hit from even my level 12 Pokemon.

Use multi-hitting moves like Fury Swipes.

Tips for raising Abra:

Abra needs to 'target' an enemy to use teleport, and said enemy need to be killed by one of your other pokemon for Abra to earn part of the XP.

In order to minimize the already frustrating job of raising an Abra, train him on Veridian Forest 2, where there are large groups of high XP enemies to target.

If you're doing it right, it should take about an hour of work to get a Kadabra.

If you're having trouble with one-hit-ko'ing the new pokemon, have all your pokemon use multi-hit moves. You can catch pokemon at anytime in-between each hit. Click and unclick the pokeball to advance one frame at a time until it's health is in the red.

I used one on Nidorina, because Nidoqueen/King keeps learning move after they evolve, and they're good (Earth Power, Megahorn).

I hope you waited until she learned fury swipes at lvl 20 to do that...

I finally beat Mt Moon with Ivysaur, Geodude, Butterfree, and all three fury swipes users.

btw, do you know if the stone evos stop learning moves like in the regular game? I'm afraid to use any of the new stones because of this.
