I picked up a couple of more summer shows.

Mayo Chiki's 1st episode didn't impress me at all. It was just downright stupid and not even in the good way. Episode 2 was an improvement though and the main female is pretty alright.

THE iDOLM@STER was pretty meh. Some of the girls are okay but none have been worth watching the show for. Here's hoping to some improvement over the season.

Dantalian no Shoka had a standard 'alright' 1st episode. Nothing special, it could easily be another Gosick in terms of disappointment so my expectations aren't too high.

Mawaru Penguindrum however, was seriously great. One of the most unique shows I've seen in a while, I really appreciate the artistic direction of the show and the soundtrack has been absolutely fabulous so far (I've been listening to the Survival Strategy! segment song over and over for the past few minutes)

Overall thoughts on summer so far:

Croisee > Penguindrum > Usagi Drop > Something worth watching > Dantalian no Shoka > Mayo Chiki > No. 6 > THE iDOLM@STER

Usagi Drop episode 2 was still pretty good, nothing much to comment on besides that the main duo's relationship is adorable.

No. 6 episode 2 is okay, but it looks to have all the makings to become a disappointing show like Gosick. Don't screw up this time, Bones!

I just finished the F/SN anime. I actually thought it was an entertaining adaptation besides the rage inducing Caster episodes. Seriously, what were they thinking with that?

Oh yeah, kurtfisto, just because Don uses the shotgun doesn't mean it's better. IMO, TMP is a LOT better than Don is, and he loves the flare gun, even before the buff.

Yeah, I understand the flare gun is perfectly viable. I'm just more comfortable with the shotgun so I stick with it.

IIRC, Ange had already denied Sakutaro once before when she and Maria played as little kids. Ange denying Sakutaro and Ange almost erasing him in the future are two separate events.

I may be wrong about this so you could wait for an expert like tcaz to come in and confirm that.

See guys? Shotgun pyro is the way to go.

As for new weapons, I've found the Detonator, Enforcer, and Eviction Notice but I don't use any of them. I've crafted the Quick Fix, Atomizer, Bazaar Bargain, and Soda Popper. I traded my Tomislav for a Liberty Launcher and I ripped one of my friends off for a Solemn Vow. I'd say I'm doing pretty good.

Some comments on new stuff:

lmao Detonator, sticking with the Shotgun
lmao Enforcer, sticking with the Revolver
lmao Eviction Notice, sticking with the GRU

The Quick Fix is great, I think I'm going to stick with it on defense. The healing speed is amazing and I like keeping everyone alive. In fact I use the ubercharge of the Quick Fix primarily to keep teammates alive on defense so that they don't have to go through that long respawn time. It's pretty great but it sucks when the person you ubercharge thinks you want them to attack and so they just charge in and die. If only there was a way around that. I'm saving up for an Overdose or hopefully I'll find a random drop on it soon.

The Atomizer is pretty situational though it has both saved and killed me on a couple of occasions. I probably won't ever use the other scout melee weapons anymore. I'm looking for a Winger to try out.

The Bazaar Bargain is amazing. I prefer it to the default rifle in every way, aesthetically and in gameplay. Never going back. Bazaar Bargain/Jarate/Bushwacka for life.

The Liberty Launcher is awesome. Only class that I find it to actually be worse against is Heavy, but for everyone else, three rockets is usually enough to get in a certain kill. Still getting used to the speed though. I'm looking for a Reserve Shooter, anybody think it's better than the shotgun?

Just crafted the Soda Popper but my hands are tired so I'll use it the next time I play. Looking forward to it.

The Solemn Vow is okay, I'm just keeping it for collection's sake. Still using the ubersaw and doing amazingly with it.

beated Nanoha StrikerS, don't think it deserves the hate it gets. I actually prefer it over A's.

Nanoha's a ****ing badass in this series and I think it's great seeing the grown up main characters being the veterans this time. I have nothing against the show containing less lolis. The show had an alright start, a boring middle, and a great final arc. The villain was pretty one dimensional this time though I don't have too many gripes with that. The show had some neat fights, a lot of which happened off screen though. :(

The new cast was alright, I enjoyed seeing all of the old cast as well. I like some of their designs, such as Subaru's and Tia's.

Also just wanted to say that despite not liking Vita much, Graf Eisen is my favorite magical weapon in the series. God it's great.

So I've been recently having urges to re-experience Fate/Stay Night so I'll be picking up the anime next. Each of these episodes are 600 MB so I'm hoping for some high quality Fate goodness!

Beated first episodes of Usagi Drop and No. 6.

No. 6 is alright, production values are pretty good and the sci-fi setting in the modern world is cool. I could do without the yaoi undertones though.

Usagi Drop had a really great first episode. It could be something really heartwarming and special.

I liked the story of the first season more (or rather, the 1st movie) since it focused more on Fate, who's the only character in the series I really care about. This season had less of that for focus on inferior characters, plus some odd pacing and worse fights (mostly due to the worse art/animation since the movie improved that).

I wonder how Strikers will play out. Most people say it's the worst season but I think there's potential to go places with a timeskip. How could they screw it up?

What? P2 had a lot of great voice acting, and did not feel quiet at all to me. Perhaps you're just taking too long at the puzzles (and even then, they still sometimes say things when you're taking too long).

They broke the suspension of disbelief? At what parts exactly? The only thing I can think of that could apply would be the ending, but even that had many hints leading up to it.

Portal 2 not only had GLADoS, but also Wheatley and Cave Johnson, who have a ton of great, memorable lines that rival GLADoS' in terms of sheer quality.

I can understand the gripe with the puzzles. I did get stuck on a few just because I couldn't find where to place the other portal, but that was just a few and it didn't bother me too much. If anything, it was the frequent load times that bothered me.

Watched Memochou 1. It's pretty meh. Characters aren't showing much promise, the setting is dull, and the premise itself wasn't as interesting as I expected it to be. I'm not one for dropping, so I'll stick with this till the end. It's not terrible yet and it could still improve.

Beated Gosick. I enjoyed that finale, despite being rushed. If the first half were shorter and the latter arc was more fleshed out it could have truly been something great.

More importantly though, I just watched the first episode of Ikoku Meiro no Croisee and it was literally amazing. My gratitude to zea for that wonderful recommendation.
