new UI is awful btw.

Prettier, but ultimately flashy and distracting. would love to be able to turn it off.

Also the scoreboard occasionally moves around, refusing to stay in the place I put it upon recalling it(And its too big, the old one was small enough that I could see everything I needed to in seconds. this is just way too much empty space).

Also I've had several more skillshot glitches come out than usual, where when after cancelling a skillshot selection, my next click will send out the skillshot. Very irritating.

I also dont like that my target selection is in the top left where the old self-status area was. I'd like to be able to move that to a more centralized area on the screen, as that corner is a bit too far for the eyes to keep at a glance while wathcing the screen.

If you are a buff holder for your team, it absolutely is worth it.

Jungles rarely hold those buffs, even.

You have to tear off any piece of the sandwich the fly touched. If you left it unsupervised and the fly could have been anywhere on the sandwich, the sandwich is now trash.

I'm a fan of runes. I'm not a huge fan of how random they can be, but they force players to move around the map more. It initiates more aggression.

The problem is, 2 people go for the rune, one person gets there slightly ahead and grabs it. You don't really have a "fight for it" mentality there, not til its picked up, since the buff is so huge. I would love, for instance, a "clear enemy champions from x distance before you can pick it up" mechanic, or something similar. That would inspire aggression.

This doesn't doesn't seem to have WC3's Asstacular Mapping.

Thats not really a mechanic change. Its just removing the WC3 limitations.

Even if its a port, I'd wish they'd have been willing to make some changes for the better.

I was mentioning it to chris on vent, but runes are probably my least favorite DOTA mechanic, and they seem unchanged. They are too game changing for something too easily obtainable.

He doesn't get stupid pre-resists healing anymore. Which is a good thing because if everybody else has to suck it up with THEIR spellvamp, so should swain IMO.

But he doesnt have near the safety necessary for the type of champion he is.

I'm so glad Theo nerfed Swain. One of the few characters who could beat my Morgana mid. Out sustaining me and what not.

The swain nerf was terrible. they took a unique, near balanced champion and nerfed him into the gutter.

1. What's the best starting skill?

q if you're going to a sidelane or if there's any chance of a level 1 fight. if you're going mid for whatever reason e might be better since you can actually land it.

This is where I preach "Dont take either skill until you have need to use it".

I've seen Kats tear up faces in non-crappy games at better-than-average elo. I don't think she's as bad as people say. She just requires some creative thinking because she's not a farm-to-30mins-and-rape type of carry. She pretty much needs to be running around constantly.

Kat is a balanced champion in that the damage she puts out is incredible if the other team is bad.

the problem is that doing well with kat relies more on the opposing team being bad(IE, they dont CC you the instant you pop your ult) than it does with you being good.

You said buffs before

He got the crowstorm change, and the range on his fear. Buffs(in addition to a few other tweaks that generally just made fiddle better). I did not say buffs when I meant buff, I meant buffs.

I know that, but he got one big buff and not several unless you count the bug fixes/adjustments. You're exaggerating to support your point while I'm sticking to facts, so have the decency to stop it.

I didnt say he got several buffs, I said he got one big buff.

It was huge. It totally changed him and made him from near worthless to an excellent champion. I'm not exaggerating anything and I have no idea where you are getting this from.

Red doesn't know what he's talking about because doesn't play the champion if he thinks Morde is useless after flashing.

hey, I'm not the one putting up consistent losses with kaiser.

The kaiser problem isnt when he has flash up, or even after he has flash. Its when he doesnt have it at all. He doesnt have the ability to gap close, meaning good teams will kite him around all day long. And seeing as he needs to build DPS to not be worthless, hes just a bit tankier than your average champion. This tankiness doesnt help him with closing that gap that he needs to make a clone of a squishy.

Mind you, none of the other champions spitting out carry-level damage can be kited quite like Morde.

I play at a very high level. It is way way more balanced than DOTA ever was.

DOTA was all about cheese. LoL is nowhere near as imba.

Mordes sole use is to have flash, have AP, flash in, explode AD carry. Get kited for a few minutes if that didnt push to nexus. Pray other team doesnt win in this time.

*cough* Supports-can-carry-ridiculously-hard-at-low-elos-because-they-save-idiots *cough*

no they cant.

supports can work well at higher elos because you can protect good players, allowing them to be good players longer.

Supports at low elos are mostly a waste of space. I'd rather run a 5 dps team than any team with a support at a low elo.

PS: If you still don't believe me, look at Merc's game as Janna. If 5-0-17 (or was it 27? I forget) isn't tearing **** up, nothing is.

Honestly, thats just having a good janna game. Janna doesnt really carry a solo queue game. Also thats the only reason I stuck a (mostly) before dying a lot. Because aside from that, you guys pretty much died a lot.
