Saw that Peavy was dealing and it was 4-0 after four. Came back after working on some things and saw the game ended 10-8 in the Tiger's favor.

This story creation went on and on for the rest of the off-season, from the draft through coming up with a position chart. I even continued it into the following season with a bunch of fake stories based off of controversies and feel-good events. I even gave each player and coach, as well as myself, on my teams a personality. I kept expanding and expanding what I did after each season, taking up several notebooks.
I didn’t even realize that I had come up with a frame story for the first time in a long time. It’s still a work in progress too since I haven’t abandoned it. I’m on season #7 and I have no plans to stop anytime soon, even though my activity has died down quite a bit since I entered college. The Good - An Imaginative Movement
Back in the SNES and N64 days, I guess you could call me an imaginative gamer. Not only did I create little modes and handicaps for myself to go through, but I also sometimes came up with frame stories in my mind to add to the experience. This mostly happened with racing games where I would create fake alliances/teams and add all of the members’ points at the end to see who would emerge on top, as well competitive-based games, such as Mario Party and Super Smash Bros., where I came up with imaginary feuds. Once the GCN/PS2/Xbox era came though, that creative spark just never clicked with me in all the games I played, even sequels to games that I already done it before with. It wasn’t until two games and a link between them that paved the way for my most ambitious and time-consuming side project in video gaming ever. I love sports games, but after buying most of EA Sports’ 2004-2005 lineup, I decided to put off buying their sports games for awhile. I was only convinced to buy NCAA Football ’06 by some friends who wanted to do some tournaments. We only ended up doing two, so to get enough bang for my buck, I decided to go ahead and start a dynasty. Like with the previous NCAA Football games, I didn’t like seeing my favorite players be listed as their jersey number and not by name. I had a friend that bought a memory card that had roster names loaded on it, so went on ebay and found one for $20. Now I didn’t have to input the names manually, so I could dive straight into rushing 200+ yards a game with Laurence Maroney. At around the same time, I was asked by some friends at school to buy Madden ’06 so that we could play online and also start an online franchise. The former was a blast, but the latter was a buggy mess that would often crash. Like NCAA Football ’06, I wanted to get more value out of my purchase, so I went straight to franchise mode where I could do managerial stuff to my heart’s content. Instead of doing solely that though, I decided to start a franchise with my two favorite teams, Dolphins and Jaguars, and play their games on top of all the management activities. Before I knew it, I had played a full season, with plenty of unexpected twists and turns. I was about to head into the offseason when I saw an option to upload a draft class. I ignored that feature for the previous Madden due to the jersey number crap, and seeing that I was close to finishing my first NCAA season, I decided to hold off so I could bring in the draft class with all the names. After completing the NCAA season, I was ready to go into the Madden offseason, but I decided to take a notebook and write some interesting things down from the in-game NFL season, such as spectacular games/performances/plays, as well as intriguing stories. After getting all that down, I looked at the retiring coaches and players and wrote some fake farewell press conferences. Next on the agenda was resigning our own unrestricted and restricted free agents. For unrestricted, you would also see players who are holding out or demanding a trade. I remember laughing when a then 37-year-old Junior Seau held out on me, so I cut his ass immediately. The Good - A Familiar Face in College
When I decided what college to attend, I didn’t base it on my friends like many people. I also decided to go somewhere outside of the city but stay in-state, lowering my chance of going to the same college as a friend. To top it all off, I chose a private school, something not many of my 300 fellow graduates would attend since we all mostly came from middle class families. Despite all of that, one of my friends happened to pick the same college as me in the end. His name was Frank and because he was in the Honors Program, we didn’t live in the same dorm building or attend the same classes. Even though we each made a slew of friends and hung out with them, we always made time to see each other, often in the company of others. There were occasions where it was just the two of us though. We usually played video games while talking about people and other things from back home. Most of the following should be slightly familiar if you read my moment topic. The first game we played together was Portal. I don’t even remember how he even got into that. He must have just dropped by my room while I was in the middle of playing it and was hooked into it. Something about that damned cake made us very intrigued about its existence. Though I think it only took me 2-3 hours to beat the game, Frank and I talked the entire time. The second game placed him with the controller as he went through Fallout 3. Unlike Portal though, I wasn’t there to see him from beginning to end, so I didn’t really know what was going on at any given time. That helped set up the moment where this ant lady and robot man went at it out of nowhere in the middle of some town. My experience with him playing that was littered with several moments like that. The third game had us both playing Halo 3 simultaneously and it was more of a roller coaster ride in terms of emotions. I had that ridiculous streak of matches that involved me being betrayed, but big team matches on Valhalla and Sandtrap generally did a great job at cheering me up. We probably put up 100+ hours that year alone on Halo 3 matchmaking. Unfortunately, those three were the only video games that we did together in college because Frank transferred back to a college in our city in the middle of July during the summer between our freshman and sophomore years. I didn’t even learn about that the day I arrived for our sophomore year. I was bummed, but I eventually got over it. I can only imagine what it would have been like if he was there with me going through BioShock, Far Cry 2, Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay and Dark Athena, and Assassin’s Creed II, just to name a few. -- http://img.imgcake.com/kcftabletpnget.png |

The Good - An Unexpected Gift
I was skeptical of the DS when I first heard about it. Hell, I guess you can say that I had very little interest in it, even after it was released. I didn’t even tell my parents about it or anything. That’s why it came as such a surprise that I received it for my 15th birthday, just a few months after it was released. I didn’t really learn from my mistakes with bringing my Game Boys in elementary school as I brought my DS to high school that following Monday. Nobody else had one, so people would always want to try their hand at the mini-games in Super Mario 64 DS during lunch or a class where the teacher would allow us to use banned devices in class when it wasn’t lecture time. My most vivid memory of that was when I had to do voice-activated mini-games for WarioWare Touched. I didn’t know how to properly get the system to register the mic function, so I tried a myriad of ways to get it to work. I eventually settled on a bizarre noise that involved me making a high-pitched noise while flapping my tongue up and down. Most people thought it was hilarious, though that wasn’t my intention, but a substitute teacher, not knowing where the source was coming from, yelled during a class, “Quit making those turkey noises!” A few people started getting DSes and we had a little thing going with the multiplayer function of Super Mario 64 DS. Unfortunately, that began a little late, so we only did that for no more than a month because school was out for summer by then.
