Just reached level 21. It's going slow. Currently grinding in the Haunted Gallery with +20% noncombat (smooth movement, sonata of sneakiness, quartet song, ring of conflict) and +94 ML. That's pretty much the best place to train if I'm not spamming clovers, right?

It's kind of weird -- looking at my ascension history, my sauceror ascensions (which is also what I'm doing now) have been the worst.

Note to self: Don't ascend 30 minutes before rollover. Almost wasted a whole bunch of potential turns because I wasn't able to drink booze for the day. I just barely managed to craft + drink four advanced cocktails before rollover hit.

(had to complete the typical tavern quest to get the swill, since I didn't have the moxie to equip the hippy outfit to buy fruit to make regular advanced cocktails)

Barely managed to get sub-ronin on that run. 992 turns. Part of the problem was that I forgot to turn off the non-combat quartet song while doing Sonofa Beach 'whoops'

Just one more ascension until my main is going to settle down in aftercore for a while. I want to ascend as a sauceror so I can eventually do a Fernswarthy dive.

Update: Word is that all you get from it is a dense meat stack. It's possible that there's some kind of hidden prize involved, but nobody's been able to discover anything more.

End of day 3 update: I set up all three MacGuffin sub-bosses, then powerleveled until I hit level 12. Which is about where I expected to be. I was hoping that I could start the war, but it turns out I don't have the required Mys to equip the frat warrior outfit. 'whoops'

Going for a four-day softcore AT run. Currently, at the end of day 2, I'm midway through level 10 and I've finished the level 10 quest (though I haven't done the level 9 quest or gotten the pirate fledges since I was out of pulls for both). Not sure if I'm going to make it; either way it'll be pretty close.

Due to ascending on a stat day, I did manage to get the steel margarita by the end of day 1, which is a record for me.

I don't have anywhere near that kind of cash. 600K-ish on my main, 1.8M on my alt. Plus a couple of fax machines each, but those have been dropping.

yesss it worked

I was pretty lucky. I managed to beat her first form without sustaining any damage. Tomato reagent potion absorbed her first hit, and then I used two macrame nets (~100 damage + stuns for that round) and one saucegeyser. Second form was touch-and-go, but she didn't block my scented massage oil (full heal) and my cannonball charrrm went off in the final round. Had 12 HP left at the end.

Any advice for beating the NS as a sauceror? I can't even seem to get to her second form.

Notes on my setup:
- I deliberately lost to her four times to reduce her blocking rate to minimum.
- For damage, I'm using Saucegeyser (level 11 uncapped mys spell) + war tongs (+10 damage to hot spells) + kickback cookbook. I do ~120 damage a hit.
- She's doing around 40 damage per turn to my 129 HP.
- Supplies: scented massage oil (2), gauze garter (5), macrame net (29)

Theoretical pull list for a four-day AT ascension. I say "theoretical" because I'm sacrificing turncount to reduce my pulls, so I'm not sure if I can really make it in four days.

I'm not doing this immediately. First I'm doing BM Sauceror to get Advanced Saucecrafting, and then I'm doing BM AT for Sonata of Sneakiness, and then I'll attempt a four-day run. It'll work out nicely because I'll have the Brimstone Beret too.

Man. Hit level 13 by the end of day 4, with 25 adventures left. But I can't finish up because I haven't eaten my star key lime pies and don't have enough pulls for other tower stuff. I think a four-day moxie class run is fairly plausible in future if I rearrange my eating schedule (need to start eating key pies on day 2) and my pulls.

Currently doing SC softcore to learn Pulverize so I can get rid of some of the junk in my inventory. It's going significantly slower than my last ascension, since I haven't been able to run +20 ML consistently and Haunted Ballroom >> Haunted Gallery as a training spot. End of day 3 and I'm one muscle away from L11. My typical end-of-day-3 goal is getting the MacGuffin diary.

942-turn ascension, woo~

The funny part is that I forgot to re-equip my real weapon going into the NS fight, so I ended up fighting her with the huge mirror shard. Managed to beat her anyway by spamming Moxious Maneuver and then random combat items when I ran out of MP.
