Sorry to hear about that. It sounds like the stomach flu since you and your wife had it days apart, and you developed symptoms a few days after eating the food. If it were food poisoning, you will usually experience the symptoms not long after. I hope you feel better.

I'm not sure if there is a max, but it's worth remembering that if you miss even one day you lose the badge for that year. Which is why I don't have 7-8 for any of mine.

I actually didn't get the May one this year because of that.

I do this sometimes with books. I find myself enjoying a book so much that I find it increasingly difficult to continue reading it, because once I finish, the door to that world will close.

I can relate. The door for the book closes, and there is no more of it to look forward to. It's not just books, but many other things as well.

I think there are a few reasons for not wanting to reach a goal. You mentioned one of them: afraid to finish and feel empty. It could also be fear of the unknown. In this case, it's not knowing what to do after accomplishing a goal.

I still wear masks in indoor public areas. At my workplace, we still have to wear masks.
