I've been re-reading Molester Man lately. I was thinking of using it in my manga posts on Imgur, but it's a little more.. cringey than I remembered. It's got a fair amount of that 2000's single guy, internet/4chan dweller, crude, often misogynistic humor that many of us are familiar with.

Definitely still good though; Kansai is easily best girl.

There was this series of illustrated children's books from like the 70's. I don't know what style to call them; they were kind of like the stuff Mister Rogers would talk about; teaching kids about different feelings and experiences as they get older, that it's natural to feel that way, and the right and wrong ways to handle them.

I don't know the name of the series or the company that made them, so I basically have nothing to go on to find it. I just remember the name of one particular book; "You're All Right." My siblings and I would make all kinds of dumb drawings and captions in the book, making up our own stories with the pictures.

It's funny that people are expressing remorse about their purchase of the game. They were pretty clear about exactly what you're getting; all the games are pretty much untouched from the way they were twenty years ago, save for a few optional cheats, and one game (so far) having online play. I knew that going in and I'm having a blast. I'm also looking forward to playing around with a major glitch I found a long time ago in 7 Trials to Glory.

One thing that always got me is how people HATE commercials and advertisements now. In the past, TV or even radio commercials would actually be an enjoyable facet of pop culture, with their catchy jingles or funny/bizarre interactions. Nowadays you'll often hear people say if they so much as hear a commercial, they'll swear off that product forever.

I main Hybrid cars in Rocket League; decent all around with no particular strength or weakness. It works for me because I usually just fill in wherever the rest of the team is lacking (which is most often defense).

There's a bar that opened up recently, less than ten minutes by foot from my home. They were having a free concert tonight so I decided to check it out.

When I first read about it, it said it was a 90's grunge-themed coffee and juice bar. Apparently something changed between then and now, because it seemed to be just a regular bar, that also happened to serve coffee. I don't drink, so I just ordered a latte and left after about an hour. The band was really cool though.

(I wasn't really planning on spending any money today due to the blackout thingy, but I don't feel right going to something like that without buying anything or tipping. It was a small business and a local band, at least.)

Anybody read/reading Hajime no Ippo? I'm right around chapter 700, after the Mashiba vs Sawamura fight. Didn't see that ending coming.

Also looking forward to the Yu-Gi-Oh Early Days Collection coming this week; a collection of GB/GBA era games with new features and online play. I had to preorder it when I heard it would come with an exclusive real card; I never got to get any of the cards that came with the games originally since I got the games used.

I don't mean they make/take calls frequently; I mean they have a bluetooth headset, and are on the phone with someone for very extended periods of time. I've seen it way too often and for the life of me I can't understand chatting with anyone on the phone for that long, let alone every single day while you're at work.

Replaying Bloodstained; first time was near release so a lot of content wasn't out yet.

Breath of Fire; I got about two thirds through it a long time ago but never finished. I somehow didn't realize how easy the early game is if you abuse the E-Key.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. I only played the final mix version once before, and never got around to getting 100% or beating the new boss.

Thirteen years. Kingdom Hearts II came out at the very end of 2005; KH III was the beginning of 2019.

If I sat eagerly anticipating a mainline Kingdom Hearts game all the time, I would have died long ago. Gotta keep your excitement at a reasonable level and expect the ETA to be "sometime this decade, probably."

Both awesome, but personally I like the latter more.
