No, it's a format. It doesn't adjust for DST for example.

That's because UTC is defined to not have DST. UTC is a time zone. Nearly the same as GMT and Zulu time.

Our internal inventory system at work runs on UCT for some reason despite it being run on software that is perfectly able to be converted to local time.

UTC ensures that everybody sees the exact same screens at the same moment, regardless of physical location. It also makes reports (etc.) less ambiguous.
That being said, I work on world-wide system, and we display everything in local time (with UTC in a tooltip).

One of my peeves is canned tuna "in water", that's actually in vegetable broth, and that "broth" is mostly soy filler. Read the ingredients! If you want a can of literally just tuna and water, you have to bump up to significantly more expensive options.

I think it is pretty hard to hold the left accountable for this when a lot of their opinion was shaped by a GOP campaign of lies spewed from a huge government platform. Lies that were impossible to verify at the time because they were based on info only the government has access to.

I agree. I think we (liberals) made the best decision with the information we had at the time. I also think it is unfair to conflate winning the war with losing the peace.

We got married at the courthouse six days before our two religious ceremonies and reception (so we were arguably married three times). Nobody cared, and everybody had fun at the reception. The only impact was that had it been over a week, The New York Times would have only mentioned the civil ceremony in their announcement. Apparently, they have a week cut-off for that.

private schools always better from your experience?

I'm not going to make a blanket statement, but I went to a very good school that gave me a great education and got me into a top college, while only trying hard enough to get into a very good college. My wife had the same experience (different schools). Our classmates generally had the same experience, too. I transferred from a solid public school system, while she would have been in an objectively bad public school system.

I went to private middle and upper school, and fights were nearly unheard of. One would have inevitably resulted in a more serious fight, between three sets of lawyers. There was still bullying, of course, but it was all psychological.

Mostly in person. Once over the phone, but it didn't take, so it had to be in person, multiple times, and eventually a restraining order.
