Shah'do oddly looks like a Pokemon to me.

I read Botchan by the actual Soseki Natsume recently. Kind of a weird book with a surprisingly mundane subject matter, but it's not that bad! Especially since there's a translation barrier and a historical barrier. From what I can tell, Natsume is just kind of a weird dude in general.

Maybe I'm overthinking this rating vs. ranking thing a lot, but Morgan getting in the top 100 while not even achieving 5.0+ in the rating topic is such an insane difference. She's not really the type to inspire hatred, but I dunno anyone celebrating her either. Maybe she just gets higher when compared to a lot of peers?

One of the things I really enjoy about GAA is how well they utilize their multiple witness gimmick in surprisingly tense ways. G1-5 with Gregson and Graydon making deals, G2-2 with Shamspeare and Green hating each other's guts, G2-3 with trying to figure out who did it between Drebber and Sithe.

I remember having Larry as a top 10 character at the end of PW1. Maybe even at the end of the OT! AA1 Larry is soooooo good and the relationships between him, Phoenix, and Edgeworth worked so, so well. 3-2 Larry was a massive bust, but 3-5 Larry was a good return to form, even if they played up his annoyance a bit much. Unfortunately, every Larry appearance is a retread of either 3-2 Larry or 3-5 Larry and it just...doesn't...work.

I might have mentioned in the rating topic that I really like Stronghart...in theory. Having worked a lot in politics, Stronghart's a solid example of an absolute scumbag who knows how to not get his hands dirty in both overt and subtle ways. You feel his manipulation and the fear he evokes. It's an uneasy feeling when everyone in the courtroom feels compromised. But he just lacks really any charisma and he folds easily when you take him on.

Daley's great! Kinda reminds me of a new-age Bikini in that he's just kind of a good guy that mostly tells the truth once you get past his Hugh Boone look. I like all his weird mannerisms and his panic attack.

I cooled on Tahrust. Hes still great but he has a pretty small presence, especially in comparison to his peers.

I assume the others are due to new players or just cooling when ranking as opposed to rating.

I liked Meele a bit more than when rating but she definitely feels out of place in the top 100.

I kinda dislike April May because I think she gives a really wrong impression of what sorta vibe Ace Attorney is, especially since shes such an early character. Ive had multiple friends tell me they dont want to play an anime hentai game because they got to April May.

I only rated Drew Misham at 127, which is a bit surprising. He's in that top tier of one-off victims to me. Him and Valant are easily the highlights of 4-0.

I'm the low on Rei. I'm shocked she's this high. She's just...there and just incredibly forgettable and bland. I feel the same way on Maggey and she's still in too...!

I probably should have split Roly and Patricia, because I like Patricia way more than Roly.

I'm surprised Judge of the Old Bailey beat the Khura'in Judge! Khura'in Judge is easily the best of the non-OT judges and Old Bailey Judge is the worst of any "main" judge.

Taka rules. Birds are a bit underrated for animal personalities and Taka nails it hard. I love watching him during Blackquill's animations.

My big issue with G1-2 is the non-Sholmes/Susato part of the case is so weak. Nikolina is a contender for worst culprit in the series and Bif is fine but basically the only other suspect. Theres also no trial and the murder is purposefully lame. Its just a case filled with anticlimaxes.

I feel like Alba improved over time. When AAI released, he was pretty easily the worst final culprit. Nowadays, hes probably in the middle of the pack.

Evie's kind of the perfect example of a juror. Good design and comes back as a later character for a pretty interesting scene. Nice name pun too.

Kanis is weird. I like his role in the game, but I don't really like him as a character or the fact that he has this "badass" untouchable aura around him or the mythos around the assassins in general.

It's interesting that Hilda dropped, but not Florence. I guess Florence does most of the speaking for those two, but I just associated them as the same.

Movies and TV shows are considered non-American if the director does not identify as American.
