USA did relatively well on COVID vaccination rates thanks to the actions of one Joseph Robinette Biden Jr but it did not seem to extend to broader attitudes towards vaccination and now Trump and cronies are making it much worse.

All Trump had to do was not be a moron with covid and then he wins 2020 easily as we are unlikely to boot a sitting president in a crisis.

I just want to sit on a train or a boat half the time I'm here now.

I still get in go mode for things like six flags where it is just coasters but Disney/Knotts i spend most of my time just soaking in atmosphere.

Just wanted part of a day to myself so I did my usual and went to Disneyland. I had all these grand plans of going on a bunch of rides.

Instead I decided I just wanted to walk around the parks looking at all the things I could be doing and then stopped for a nice meal. Then I went walking around again.

I feel like an old person just strolling around with half grey hair.

I did ride a couple of things but including the time standing in line it has been like 10% of my visit.

The Democrats should be focusing on trying to win those special elections in New York and Florida. Them getting the House back would at least be able to slow down Project 2025.

Democrats need to focus on a national platform. We are in an age where word of mouth can have tremendous influence. Voters outside of swing states may not matter electorally but keeping them engaged is important to creating the echo chambers that bring free engagement when it matters.

Still need to engage with the individual races of course but Dems have just been content to let red territory get redder and it isn't paying off.

I think some Dems are pretty good with messaging. But then the party steps in and fucks it up, and on top of that we don't really have a media outlet that is TRULY left-wing.

We need more than just individuals that have good messaging. It has to be a good concerted group effort and every wing of the Democratic party sucks at it as a whole.

The Jedi not being a perfect infallible order is much more interesting and you can't change my mind. Also the Acolyte is so not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. A season 2 could have been a huge improvement but not one even gave it a chance.

The Acolyte found its ground in the last couple episodes but it marketed itself as something different and was trying to court demographics that didn't really exist in star wars fandom so they didn't really tune in.
