From my understanding, this is basically the biggest counter for anyone who wants to challenge the US; most aren't stupid enough to believe they could beat the US military in direct combat, but cyber-warfare is a completely different story. Also why the Dark Web has a supposedly high Russian presence.

Taking this topic with some modicum of seriousness? LOL, no.

Seriously, console wars haven't seriously mattered since the days of PS2, Gamecube, & original Xbox. Ever since, the only real difference between Sony & Microsoft has mostly been their handful of first party titles, which aren't nearly as numerous or impactful as Nintendo's, & just have begun eventually winding up on PC anyway; then Nintendo who just does their own thing in the corner, ironically making themselves the only console that has any distinct value you can't immediately get anywhere else.

Y'know, I've never been able to comprehend the mentality of people who knowingly get involved with someone who is already involved. Unless it's just a fling/fetish, do they just not consider how long before they're on the other end of the equation, or just think they're so good that the proverbial "shoe" won't be on the other foot?

...That kid basically has no leg to stand on, in a trash talk competition.

To be fair, it may not be legally possible to charge women with rape, in some districts. Traditionally, "rape" is legally defined as vaginal penetration, usually with a penis; this is why "sodomy" exists as a separate legal distinction. Some districts have amended their laws to correct for this, while in those that haven't, a woman can only be legally charged with something like "sexual misconduct".

Just pointing out that besides the obvious social stigma, this is why you may not see women being explicitly accused of rape in articles like these.

It really weird that this is a statement of government officials. I get people love her, but the Swift obsession borders on excessive at certain points.

Ok, I guess I can understand some of the reasoning, but at this point, I have to question what they're even adapting, at the rate it's going. Seems like the simplest solution to this is to just be vague about how much time has passed over the series' production.

True, but outside of the manual & the relations to Gerald & Maria, it doesn't really come up too often, much like how Tails' name being Miles almost never comes up outside manuals, screen selects, & minor details like his wanted poster in SA2's Mission Street stage.

I mean, Sonic Adventure 1 basically implies the whole Eggman being a name from Sonic, but he's primarily referred to as Eggman, even personally, after that. I think most know that this was basically a result of consolidating the JP & US continuities, but Sonic Frontiers' Egg Memos are the first instance where it's explicitly confirmed that Eggman simply leaned into the name to flip Sonic's intent.

At best, a date with her only gets a media spotlight focused on you; at worst, you become the subject material for her next song.

Honestly, that's not too surprising. I imagine that it's so long ago, that a lot of young people struggle believing that something like that could have happened. I'm sure there's got to be a name for the phenomenon, but you can see it with Civil Rights, as well; despite still being within the span of living memory, the world of Civil Rights is so different from now, that it barely feels real for younger people who are less likely to have met people who actually marched & protested. With WW2, almost everyone old enough to have any significant memory of that time is dead, & the only proof of it is whatever you find in history books/documentaries/etc.

I mean, you can't exactly do a proper Sonic Adventure 2 adaptation without Eggman.

They do, but men, & society in general, don't care nearly as much as with women.
