People who claim they're "done with" and "outgrown" a series are lyin' through their teeth. It never feels anything more than a call for attention

If you're actually "done" with something, don't keep giving it your undivided attention and thoughts about it any time it's brought up. Just ignore it and move on.

I grew up with Harry Potter and was a massive fan of it as a child. Hell, it even continued into my teenage and early adult years.

I still have an affection for the original series that will never dim, but all the content released in the last decade has soured me on the franchise and I don't see myself consuming any new content from it.

However, I don't feel the need to barge into every thread or forum about Harry Potter and tell everyone how much I don't care about the franchise anymore.

I was ambivalent about the movie until I heard rumors that it's set 15 years after Episode IX, it's going to be very small-scale, and it will deal with her training the next generation of Jedi and not really knowing what to do.

I'm so glad people finally stopped saying "defund the police" and we were able to get that essential police reform we were hoping for, all because liberal heroes joined with conservatives and spoke out in unison about the poor optics.
