Yeah, it was just like the games lol. The only thing it didn't have was getting accosted by random Nigerians every few blocks trying to get me to go into their bars. I'm glad I got a warning about that >_>

Also, theater square was full of homeless people and punks squatting in circles and smoking. That area just smelled like piss and cigarette smoke lol

Yup I had that. At least they don't follow you don't the street, at least in my experience. Just needed to tell them I'm not interested and they'll just go about their business.

Nichiren buddhists however....had a few run-ins with them when I was in Akihabara a few months ago.

Yes I did the same! I saw Kabukicho and it looked so similar. I purposely went in the night and it felt like I had been there before! That just shows you how well the Yakuza games imitated those areas.

Those parking lots blew my mind lol. It was like I was having memories of things I never experienced before!

I went to Akihabara. That was pretty fun. I got a bunch of games there like Japanese Super Mario RPG and Yakuza Kenzan. Cheap too.

I actually a girl's email but we kinda stopped talking after a while >_> I met her on the last day I was there. She spoke English really well, but her written English was horrible lol

Maybe you can reach out. A lot of Japanese girls (or Japanese in general) aren't really good at sending messages over LINE or email unless you're really close to them.

I know a few Japanese girls and only the really close ones actively send messages back, but even then it'll be after a few days. I think it's in their culture. Only my ex-girlfriend would actively message me because we were a thing lol.

Same >_> I stayed in the Shibuya area. My hotel had a communal bath that I used damn near everyday and had ice cream afterwards. That shit was awesome

I was at Ueno (Stayed there in 2019 and 2023, same hotel). Loved it and I could meet up with some of my friends easily with the station nearby.

Actually went out with a cute Japanese girl I've known for around 5 years now, her name is Yuri. She's a cutie pie lol. She once slyly paid for our restaurant food whilst I was in the toilet, around 80 total. I had to force her to take my money afterwards lol.

Is there no streaming sites for Japanese television? (legal or otherwise)

I usually watch my favourite idol show (Sakurazaka46) in a specific place. I can also find a few other places for other shows too if you're interested.

But for actual dramas legally, theres only Netflix, Prime and Viki available to me. And its extremely limited.

I only watched TV on my first night. After that, my TV gave an error message in Japanese and I was too lazy to get management to fix it lol >_> I forget what I even watched cuz I was so tired from the 14hr flight.

I did watch a bit of a riichi mahjong tournament on a TV at a bar in Golden Gai later on. It was basically like watching Poker in the states. I'm glad I learned how to play mahjong from playing the Yakuza games lol

God I never even bothered with Mahjong in Yakuza lol.

In 2023 September, I remember seeing Saito Asuka being interviewed on a show and got so happy I was actually able to watch it live on a broadcast, since that kind of stuff can never be found on the internet. I also saw an ad I never saw before featuring Ai Hashimoto (My absolute fav ;_;).

Back in 2019 I saw Keyakizaka46 (Before they were Sakurazaka46) members hosting a show that I would never see on the net as well. I actually managed to record that one.

I love Japanese TV, theres always something interesting on. I must have spent a few hours one time in my hotel room just watching it whilst on my phone.

First thing I do when I get my apartment next month there is find a nice TV.
