I loved cursive as a kid. I was able to write way faster in cursive than in print. More legibly, too. My print was basically chicken scratch. So I used cursive for everything.

Then I got to college, and 95% of my assignments were typed and printed, if not directly turned in online. By the time I got out of college, the world had decided cursive was terrible and nobody used it anymore. So I basically started learning how to write "properly" in my 20's (I'll be 40 this year). My print still sucks, just a little less, and my cursive is now equally shit because I haven't used it in ~20 years.

Depends. Some creators I follow will spend the last couple minutes talking about projects they're working on or videos coming up on the channel. Those I'll usually click away because I either already know about it or I'll see the video in my feed when it releases.

Some others will have anecdotes or turn their end-rolls into skits themselves, and I usually stick around for those. Kyle Hill is a good one. He gives extra context or mentions interesting tangents while the patreon names roll.

Yes. Destiny Guardians would not only kill him, we'd capture his essence and turn him into a fancy new gun. Which we would forget about completely within a week because it just wouldn't be strong enough.

Not only did I not know that game existed and think that's super cool...

I also can't believe we're in the year 2024 and Gamefaqs still doesn't know how to parse a link with a parenthesis at the end.

I still have my old copy, manual and everything. The controls were janky as hell. The reviewers were absolutely right about that. But you can tell the devs genuinely loved the show and did a fantastic job recreating Mainframe.

Also yes, I have no idea why they've never fixed the link problem. -_-

I just came back with Final Shape after a pretty long break. Stopped playing in like the first or second week of Season of the Deep. The story was interesting, but the game had just become so boring to actually play. But I kept following TWIDs and lore YouTubers 'cause the Destiny universe just hits something right for me.

With Final Shape and prismatic, it feels like a whole new game again and I'm still having a blast. There was sadly a bit of a shakeup in my (now ex-) clan, with one of the admins kinda going rogue and kicking a bunch of people for no apparent reason. The clan basically ended up split in half, with myself and few others choosing to leave and join the ones who got kicked to start a new clan. But with half the people to choose from, we haven't been able to get schedules to line up enough to get a full raid run in. With like an hour at a time here and there we cobbled together enough to reach the Verity encounter one week, but that's it. And it's really thrown a sour note into an otherwise excellent expansion.

We'll see where the game is at when Frontiers comes around, but I'll probably be playing at least these first 3 "Episodes."

EDIT: Also, Warlock main since day-1 D1. SOOOOO fucking happy Well of Radiance got nerfed and I'm not forced to run the most boring loadout of all time constantly.

Tell the ex that you're interested and you think there's something there between you, but you want to get friend's blessing first because you value his friendship and you don't want to hurt him by opening old wounds and whatnot.

Ask the friend if he has any reservations about you dating the ex, but don't ask for details on why they broke up or anything like that. And if he does say it's ok with him, be sure to ask if there's any sort of "accommodations" that could make it easier for him or triggers to avoid. Like maybe talking about how the relationship is going is fine, but he doesn't want the ex coming over to his house. That kind of thing.

I feel like Psychonauts would have been a super nostalgic game for me if I played it back when it originally released. As is, first game is solid, it really feels like a PS2 game, in a good way. 2 is probably better gameplaywise, but it didnt hit quite the same. Still worth playing.

So much this. Psychonauts 1 is such an incredibly good game. The art style was unique and gorgeous. The story was weird and strange but somehow still touching and deeper than you expect. And the gameplay, while admittedly a bit janky, was just so different from other platformers at the time and it had so much charm.

Psychonauts 2, while probably an objectively better game, just doesn't hit quite as hard as the first. Still an incredible game, though. If the first was a 9.5/10, the second is still a 9. It just doesn't have that same "uniqueness" as the original because, well, it's a sequel.

Darker than Black.

Not sure what genre, but it would definitely be multiplayer. It would need customizable powers and penances. And the skybox would need a star linked to each individual player, that would accurately shine whenever any player used their powers in-game.

Probably spend the first few weeks dealing with unfathomable headaches from sensory overload.

It's perfect background noise. I always have it on the TV when the Games are going on.

Outside of the Olympics, the only other time I turn the TV on is NFL football and Formula 1 racing.

Those are all disgusting.

Nah, family growing up and roommates during college both did the same shit. It drives me crazy.

When people need to question every tiny detail of extremely minor things.

For example, if I was hungry and wanted to go get something to eat. The conversation would go something like this:

Me: I'll be right back.
Them: Where you going?
Me: I'm hungry, gonna get some food.
Them: What are you gonna get?
Me: McDonald's.
Them: We have [some random food] in the fridge.
Me: I know.
Them: Not gonna eat that?
Me: Clearly not right now. That's why I'm about to leave.
Them: I thought you liked that, though?
Me: I do. I also like burgers and chicken nuggets.
Them: I just don't want to waste it.
Me: I'm sure I'll be hungry tomorrow.
Them: Well what are you gonna get from McDonald's?
Me: [internal screaming]

The entire time I'm just thinking "Can I go? Or do you have 5 more questions you already know the answers to?"

I use the swipe for typing on my phone. It took some getting used to at first, but it's way faster than tapping each letter individually.

For what it's worth, it sounds like the husband posted the Bible quote on Facebook. Not one of the predators.

Still kind of a fucked up thing to quote, 'cause it sounds like he's defending her. But he at least wasn't the one who actually raped a kid.

i've tried to get into MMOs since WoW but none of them really grab me. Destiny 2 might have been the closest, that game was awesome.

It's worth looking back into it. Final Shape just came out a month ago, the finale of the 10-year Light vs. Darkness saga. And miraculously, they somehow managed to make it incredibly satisfying. And the game in general has pulled a complete 180 from the past year and is so much fun right now.

StarCraft Brood War is going right now, and GameFAQs just got a shoutout from the couch (around the 23 minute mark of the run).

They were talking about whether it counts as spoilers for a 20+ year old game. One of the couch crew said "Someone go post in on GameFAQs and see if it gets moderated?"
