Not everything needs to be a part of legislation. More accountability is a big one. And now more mayors are holding their officers more accountable. Some are still shitfaces, like Eric Adams, but others are more stern in their approach.

A bill that would allow Joe Bidens name to appear on the Alabama ballot in November passed the Senate floor Tuesday.

SB 324, sponsored by Sen. Merika Coleman, D-Pleasant Grove, would require parties to certify their candidates 74, rather than 82, days before an election and adjusts other timelines accordingly.

What this does in essence is it changes the certification made of the nomination of a party, Coleman said.
The bill passed unanimously, without discussion.

In a letter to the national and state Democratic parties last week, Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen, a Republican, said that the president might not appear on the ballot in November because the Democratic National Convention, which will start in Chicago on Aug. 19, will take place after the Aug. 15 deadline to certify candidates.

There's 50 states and you somehow break the deadline of 3 of them. That's an utter fucking failure.

Alabama thankfully amended their rules, which btw had been in place since the mid 70's.

So again, it's not as if these states are choosing these cut off dates on a whim to spite Democrats or Biden, it's that the DNC is full of fucking morons forcing these things to become a problem.

To be fair, it's actually apparently quite hard, since atleast one of the parties breaks the date every single Presidential election. And this is because Ohio doesn't have a set date, they can freely change it every election. And thus, since the cutoff date is extremely permutable, whereas the convention dates tend to stay more consistent, this happens almost every time.

It's just that, previously, Ohio recognized this, and made exceptions literally every single time. Only now are they not, since the state Republicans are attempting to use technicalities to, well, be fascist.

It's not. You can make a fucking spread sheet. The states don't choose these dates randomly. I believe the Ohio one is 45 days before the election or some point. Republicans had no problem scheduling their convention in July months ahead. Dems chose to do theirs at a much later date in mid August.

Do the fucking thing in June.

I posted the stats the other day, but she's so far ahead of all other rookies and was 1st in the league in assists and like 5-10 in scoring, that could be different now, but not bad for a rookie.

For those saying she's not dominating like LeBron, he was 1-5 in his first 6 games averaging 16.2 ppg, 7.7 rebounds, 7 assists. Clark in her first 6 games is also 1-5, averaging 16.7 ppg, 5.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists.

Not a huge difference between their career starts.

Biden wasn't on the New Hampshire Ballot either and still had like 70k write ins winning the primary. That was a primary in a small state, for an obvious choice.

This is a Presidential election and people are still going to turn out to vote whether it's Trump vs Vacant or not.

Plus most of these people probably don't even know he's not on the ballot and will just write him in.
