As for the moment democracy died, I think it has an earlier origin. Them cheerleading us into Iraq for ratings is when I believe they gave up on responsible journalism and behavior. From then on it was all about ratings and trying to control the narrative of the national discussion as opposed to informing us on the facts and the consequences of things with the severity/informative level it deserves.

9/11 or the Clinton trials probably gave them such a ratings boost, they were required to find a replacement at all times.

There is a way to temporarily fix it though. I noticed that after reading a bunch of tweets from people like Ron Filipkowski, I started getting a lot more pro-Trump ads (Turns out, the algorithm is broken).

lmfao, so I clicked that and for some reason AJ Styles and Adam Cole were at the top of my list. I get it's alphabetical, but still, the fuck is that about? I can't even remember the last time I even saw either on a twitter post, as I do follow a sports gif guy that occasionally posts wrestling stuff, like the blood bath last night, but it's not super often, and I don't think either has been healthy or relevant in quite a while, so that's gotta be something from a year or more ago.

Jesus, going through this list and I have no clue what's happening. Half this shit I don't even know who or what it is. I googled one and it's an Asian actor who last acted in 2020 according to IMDB, and I didn't recognize any of the films or TV. Random musicians like Alanis Morissette, a bunch of b tier wrestlers from WWE, something I watch like once or twice a year.

Most super heroes there isn't a lot of imagination involved. Superman is basically perfect. Batman is a rich guy who's super intelligent and uses his money and technology to stop crime. Spider-Man mimics a spider, has web, crawls on walls and has spider senses. Thor is a god. Captain America is a super human. Hulk is a big ball of anger.

But Wolverine, dude is forever old, has super healing, but then has bones that come out of his hands, then later (or before, fuck if I know his entire origin), they use his super healing to bind the strongest metal to his skeleton, since he can heal before dying, and then the bones that carve through his hands become blades. Now he can slice and dice shit as if he's carrying 3 swords in each hand.

The amount of creativity going into that is more than the other characters I mentioned combined. That's some truly crazy shit. Then he went on to become one of the biggest fan favorites world wide.

Doesnt Twitters algorithm go based on what you search for, respond to, click on, like, etc? If youre getting all political ads, you most likely engage in topics about politics. Ive never gotten a political ad before or after Musk. I also never go to the for you section. The only ads Ive ever gotten were some random game for your phone or a gambling app promoting their sign up bonuses.

As said a majority of what I follow is sports and entertainment and very little is political related. A majority of what I reply to is sports and entertainment related too. I almost never reply to anything politically because there's nothing to say.
