I assume this is like eating a mars bar with a knife and fork from Seinfeld. Some people saw him do it and thought that would make them sophisticated to emulate.

I've never watched Gordon Ramsey. I cut burgers in half because they're just easier to handle that way and the patty doesn't slide out from between the bun nearly as much.

I cut my burgers in half both at home and at restaurants, but I've never asked cooks/staff to do it for me.

Even full time employees often have to pay some money towards their healthcare benefits as not many companies now a days offer completely free healthcare to their employees.

I've literally never heard of one that does. My husband manages a department in a fucking hospital, and we pay insurance premiums.

How are limitations relevant to a game being better than a game with fewer limitations? If you compare 2 games and one is just worse because of its hardware limitations its just a worse game.

By this logic, games on newer, less limited hardware should almost always be better than games on older hardware.

You WILL die playing metroid 1, and that makes it easier to die again. Its not a good system at all.

Again, if you kill more enemies and get hit less, you won't die as much. And when you do, you respawn near the start of areas where you basically get free kills to build a health buffer. It's not difficult at all to rebuild health through normal gameplay, and by the time you get to a boss you're full.

Metroid is really fucking rough to play, and fusion taking a different route as far as exploration does not make it an inferior game.

It absolutely does when the entire series is built on exploration, and the game doesn't allow exploration beyond a singular linear path. This is one of several aspects that Fusion shares with Other M, yet somehow gets a pass while OM (rightfully) gets roasted for.

Git gud. Kill more enemies, get hit less, and you won't have to grind health because you'll stop dying all the time. Even reloading from a password, you'll gain health as you go and really only need full health going into boss fights.

Metroid's exploration is better than Fusion's because it actually has exploration and you have choices on where to go and when. Fusion deliberately turned its back on this core tenet of the series.

I recently replayed og M2. Better than Fusion. Top 10 Game Boy game. I also recently gave MF another go, and it's easily the worst 2D Metroid based on the forced hand-holding and railroading alone. Metroid has absolutely aged poorly but I'd still rather replay it than Fusion.

No it isn't. Dread is near Super Metroid's level of excellence. The EMMI bits can be tedious, but the level design is top notch and it has the best and most fluid controls of the 2D series, hands down.

I love the wall jumping, you guys are crazy. They didn't want it to be as easy as Batman or Ninja Gaiden. It takes a little skill so you can't just easily sequence break-the game unless you practice it.

They're talking about the game pausing for a few seconds to play the item jingle whenever you pick up a power up. It adds up when you collect multiple power ups in a short span. It never bothered me, but I can understand the complaint.
