I mean, it's about as unambiguous as you can get. It's much safer for them to keep it than risk whatever semblance of legitimacy they have left by redefining it to something that is plainly not in the constitution.

Unfortunately it's one of those situations only she can deal with. You can tell the cops but if she's not cooperative they won't do anything about it. The dirtbag will continue to beat her until she leaves him or gets him arrested. And often when it gets to the point where he's comfortable beating her regularly, it's because he knows she's not going to tell anyone or do anything about it. People get sucked into these awful relationships and then don't know how to leave, or don't recognize how bad it actually is.

In New York, yes! Some states have laws against this, but not NY.

Given the utter lack of effort Cuomo put into his primary campaign, I do wonder how badly he really wants it, though. Zohran closed a 30 point gap on him in three months, what would happen with another 4?
Idk why this dude wants to be in the public eye anyways. He was ousted and shamed for being a creep. He has plenty of money. Just go away and enjoy the rest of your life without embarrassing your family.

So we are spoonfed HISstory
I remember learning in HS that Washington wasn't necessarily a brilliant military mind, but someone people respected and would follow. I'm reading 1776 by David McCollough and that's basically true but of course there are loads more examples of him kinda just hoping for the best without taking decisive action and almost losing the revolution bc of it. But I found the situation of the letters between Reed and Lee to be completely hilarious, especially with Washington then apologizing for stumbling upon it.

https://www.amrevmuseum.org/read-the-revolution/renegade-revolutionary

Washington fucked up in an early campaign in NY, during the beginning of the revolutionary war. He was notably indecisive about retreating early from the obviously superior British forces or holding firm. The rebels end up getting #rekt while sitting on their hands. And Washington's personal assistant and confidant Joseph Reed wrote General Charles Lee a letter saying he wished Lee was in charge instead. Lee responded saying indecisiveness is basically the biggest wartime sin, moreso that even stupidity. Washington got his hands on this letter, thinking it involved military operations bc it was from Lee. He got his fee fees hurt. And then he apologized to Reed for accidentally reading a private letter.

I love this juicy drama.
