And that is exactly what I meant in my previous post. It's one thing - and totally legit and rightful! - to pray for Palestine civilians and condemn what Netanyahu and his regime is doing in Gaza. But it's not okay to delegitimize the terrorism on oct 7, to legitimize Hamas, or generally spread hate of Jews at the same time. But this stance can be seen from many participants of these pro-Palestine protest movements, unfortunately. I find that worrying.

All this knowing that there would be no real consequences for his actions.

I've honestly never understood why this is such an issue. In regards to his security detail, yeah they'd have to physically be there, but not in a prison cell. I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to just wander around freely when personally assigned to him, so I see no difference between standing outside of a door at his house or standing outside of his cell next to a correction's officer.

The trickiest part is interaction with other inmates. I generally don't condone solitary confinement unless they're are an violent threat to others, however Trump's influence is the kind of thing that would realistically lead to a white supremacist gang riot/attempt to overthrow the prison if he were allowed to associate with them as I'm sure they are Trumpers themselves.

So he would need some form of limited interaction with other inmates that's heavily monitored.

I mean it's just due to logistics. This is obviously uncharted territory for everyone involved.

The most I think would happen even if he's convicted on those more serious charges is some kind of house arrest. I'd love to be proven wrong but I think there's too many people in government who would be worried about how it would look to the rest of the world to have a former U.S. president behind bars for it to actually happen.

There's also the whole Secret Service protection thing

I don't think sentencing guidelines will take that into account.

The just dhr had discretion to sentence him to anything in the guidelines.

Certainly with the Manhattan trial, jail isn't impossible but it is improbable. While it does have prison as an option New York tends to give slaps on the wrist for stuff like this. The only things that will weigh on the sentencing is the crimes and prior convictions. You have a victimless crime that resulted in the lowest of level felonies. He hasn't ever been convicted of a crime. Civil judgements won't count and neither will unresolved charges i.e. D.C, Mar-a-Lago, and the Rico case.

My prediction is he gets a fine and couple of years of probation. I know people will be upset if this is the outcome of the Manhattan case but they shouldn't be. Anyone else would get similar punishment.

I disagree solely because of 45 and his mouth. He's going to talk himself into a jail cell somehow.
